RX7 with B19 Engine?
I didn't "miss" that but I did ignore it.
The whole "factory swapped" scenario is so improbable I figured I was safe doing so.
The idea that some Sun City grandma had enough pull with Mazda to create such a car is so farfetched that I think we can all discount it and instead imagine a circumstance where an oddball engine ended up in the car...assuming it's been swapped at all, which I doubt.

i can just picture a 60 year old lady driving that car.
Maybe the seller is confused and he meant to sell this car??

The car - a Dieter Jens creation - was struggling until the very last stages of the race with the leading Ferraris 512S and Porsches 917K. Next year Niemas will enter an Aston Martin DBR9 at the Barcelona Worlds. Pit Schwaar himself will build the second Aston DBR9. So we can be sure to see two splendid Astons in Spain. Hah! I got them to change it by posting in the Q/A section. On a side note, that is one clean engine bay.
Q: Do you realize no RX-7 ever came with anything other than a 12A or 13B ROTARY engine? A B19 is a Volvo 4-cylinder, so if it's actually in that car, someone swapped it. It's NOT factory and neither are the ugly vinyl stickers. Dec-07-09

Actually my guess is he has no idea what he's talking about but he just got this car and is trying to pretend like he does so he can sell it. I assume it's your typical neglected old person automatic. The last owner probably got tired of it or he inherited it. Could probably give it some minor service and it should be fine. Too bad it's an auto. Just a guess. Always get a car inspected before you buy.

Looks like a very nice car for the money. Anyway he sure got my attention, and yours. If it was not a slushbox version I might go after that, after all, as he says, you can pull the vynil junk off

No matter how clean that car is no one will want it, Fcs are a dime a dozen in my area. You could buy a beatup fc, replace everything and drop in a turbo motor for less than $3,950.00!

i called the guy, he is local to me....real nice guy i think he has no ******* clue what he is selling...he it trying to sell it for a customer that owes him money....i should go by and snap a few pics of the engine bay lol
