My install only took two hours on fit-up, I used a reamer to slot some holes knocked the brace into place and bolted everything up. I don't have ps/ac so i went a different direction on plumbing. A $25 hks bov welded adapter pipe and the kit looks pretty sick. My only complaint is the radiator neck. and lack of coolant hoses. plus the fact I couldn't install my thermostat with their water neck... Add $ 300 for the intake compression tube and oil cooler and another $150 for -10 AN Fitting and hose for the oil cooler lines. Overall for a competent mechanic a good kit putting that you are willing to put in the extra effort to install it the way you want it installed.
It would have been easier and likely cheaper if I waited for the rotary extreme kit, or had bought universal parts and had the shop make me a vmount. I'm happy how my rotary works kit came out in the end, but it wasn't easy nor cheap. It might be cheaper if you can weld, but then your back at why not just order universal parts again. Keep in mind that you get absolutely no customer support with rotary works. I would not classify this as a good kit, and recommend it to anyone. It does have to be modified because the brackets need modifying and fixing, the radiator outlet needs to be relocated, water thermostat neck is missing a sensor bung, and the bov is an eBay special that sticks. Of course it doesnt offer any kind of ducting, but most kits dont anyways.

The only support I received on the install was your thread on what you did to get it to work. Thank you by the way, you saved me a ton of time and grief on the radiator neck mod. It may have only took two hours to fit up but I have spent even more time on tweaking and fabricating. I am lucky in the fact that I am the maintenance supervisor in a very large aluminum fabrication shop and I have welders, shears, brake presses and burn tables at my disposal. I have wondered if it would have been cheaper to just buy the coils and build the kit myself. Though I doubt i could have finished the install by now. I finally started driving the car this week and the coils do perform quite well after fabricating the cowls to keep air flowing across the coils not through the engine bay. Cowls i did not see in the Neugen kit... Attachment 684032 |
The lower brace is uneven by 3/4" and it wouldn't hurt to move the whole thing up 2 "
