Removed door mouldings. any opinions?
OK so I'm half way into covering up all of the exterior side trim and now I'm not sure I like the look.
What I was thinking of doing is maybe where the mouldings would be, doing a SLIGHTLY different color. I'm painting my car satin black and was thinking that maybe a gloss black might look ok, but still, I'm not sure. BTW, I'll be using my S5 front/rear bumpers with the Shine lip and maybe wide fenders.
Thoughts? Opinions? Let's hear 'em.

Leave them on bro, it looks alright if they are just removed but i dont think the smoothed over look does the FC and justace. The coolest FC's ive ever seen still have the mouldings.

Tooshort88's car should keep you on the moulding free path.

from what i understood from one of my industrial design buddies that these are the only lines that matter in the FC, which are considered the core body lines. The moldings are accents which are very 80s style fashion, to "compliment" the stock body lines.
Taking away moldings takes away the accent of the body lines, not the real body lines. Making it awkward and bare. But if you can substitute those accents with something like aero, then you might be on to something. I hope that makes sense.
Here's another photoshop, but the car has wider fenders, accenting the already existing lines.
My opinion was to leave the moldings on the car. They usually look much better with them on especially on a stock car. The only reason why anyone should shave moldings is because having it on clashes with the smoother transitions of some aero kits. (tryin to look at this through a designers perspective)
I think tooshorts FC had the right idea in my opinion.
