Recommend FPR gauge?

(not final position of fpr, I know it hits the alternator bolt)

I have an Aeromotive A1000-6 fuel pressure regulator. The gauge port is 1/8 inch NPT. I want an inexpensive mechanical gauge to mount directly to the fpr. I would prefer it to have a black face.

I purchased a gauge that met the requirements from summit racing, and received it today. Upon opening the package: I noticed that it is a mechanical gauge, but is a remote mount. This unit sits in your car/hood with a hose that gets attached to your fpr. Nowhere did it state this in the description. Return and take 13$ shipping (both ways) loss. Thanks, Summit. Awesome copy/paste descriptions.

I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for me? I don't want to order another one and go through the same crap again.

It is actually preferred to remote mount senders and gauges as it dampens vibrations from the motor. That being said, what Summit gauge was it? Is there a way to remove the hose and just mount it directly like you wanted to?

There would be no chance in hell I would use this product. My fpr will be mounted with engine, and running a thin plastic wire carrying fuel is not safe. Not only that, the gauge is made of cheap plastic that would probably crack under heat and is not sealed. The unit also has a very large depth.

I just want a small, metal gauge that I can attach directly to the fpr like everyone else.

where it says "notes" you want it to say this:

Notes Gauge has 1/8 in. male fitting centered on the back for installation.

or Will directly screw into any 1/8 NPT female port.

you want an oil filled gauge to absorb vibrations, removes the necessity for remote mount.

don't go too cheap, even name brands aren't going to break your bank for this one item.
