as good as those retros are, they just dont look cosmetically good, even tho they might have the best possible light output.

some low profile NSX headlights would be sweet

Form > function for you. Not surprising. That's............... fantastic  ........ special :dunno: or just :facepalm2:

NJGreenBudd 02-09-09 11:12 AM

That's why I bought the TSX projectors, they are the most compact and have a wicked good beam. I just spoke to the guy who I bought them from and he said they were shipped on Friday so they should be here any day.

write up please... or i will pay you for you to make me one haha

NJGreenBudd 02-10-09 08:39 AM

Looks good so far. That's really all I was planning on doing. Can you post better pics of how you attached the projector to the housing itself. I was planning on adding a sheet of ABS to the back of the housing and mounting the projector onto the added sheet so it was level. I like the black housings though, that should make it look pretty good.

Post a link to the new thread when you make it. My projectors should be here today or tomorrow, then we can see the difference between the FX and TSX projectors.

Anyone know of some low beam projectors that are SHORT and 4" round? I'm looking to refit my East Bears but unless I want to do some metal cutting, I need them to be pretty shallow.

The housing "glass/plastic" doesn't have ribs across the front, like it does on the sides, does it?

Hypertek 02-10-09 02:15 PM

be cool if you could fit those in some camaro headlights to be a lil more low profile

because my projectors were lot bigger in diameter than other ones only thing i had to do was just cut it on right spot where circle projector part fits in and i did a jb wel around it and inside.
I am about to paint inside all black again cause jb wel looks so bad inside

I just got my projectors in today, FedEx screwed up but overnighted them last night to make it up. I got the TSX projector housings, 4300K bulbs and D2S to AMP connectors so I can retain my current ballasts.

I should get around to hacking up my old 7x6's this weekend.

whiteweazel21 02-11-09 06:34 PM

Man...another thing to add to the list heh.

NJGreenBudd 02-11-09 09:58 PM

I decided to give it a shot and cut up one pair of old diamond cut housings...

Hypertek 02-11-09 10:22 PM

r u gonna loose high beams?

looks good

francogt1 02-11-09 11:17 PM

don't you automatically lose high beams with a HID kit?

check out these ones I think they are NSX headights Hypertek can confirm im not sure.
http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n...ebeastrx7b.jpg

NJGreenBudd 02-12-09 07:51 AM

Some HID projector units (BIXENON) use a small motor to move the shield and change the cutoff for low and high beam - the TL is like this. Some systems have an extra halogen bulb for high beam right next to the HID lamp. However, I am going to lose my high beam because the TSX is a single low beam projector.

Yes the NSX lights are cool but they are hard to find last time I looked compared to H6054 housings.

Hypertek 02-12-09 02:46 PM

francogt1 id have no idea man your guess is as good as mine lol

sadly the nsx lights are pretty darn pricey when they go on ebay

njgreenbudd i cant wait to see some night pics of that setup

h_block88 02-12-09 07:06 PM

they shouldnt cause u ll be only lighting up the road not ike the pnp kits that lights up everything
As long as u adjusted right ur beam shoudnt pass over other cars hood
