Gearing is going to be weird I think, maybe you should only do it in front? Is there more room in the rear well?

Like imagine the speed difference between a 215/60-17 tire compared to a 215/30-17(those are just for example) the smaller the total diameter on the drive wheel means less revs per rotation(maybe vise versa) but either way the smaller tire will affect top speed in each gear. But probably only a few mph.. I was just saying, if you downsize too much, gears are going to wind out a little faster. I seen someone post a link to a gear/tire/rpm calculator a while back, I'll try and find it.

Also I was asking if there was room in the back wheel well to go lower? Cuz I know the front is pretty much touching

Hahaha that's exactly how I think.. but you know, some peopl on here get **** when you talk about changing certain things like that.. if anything it will be a little quicker, but have a lower top speed at the end of the gear..

I just picked up mac's old trashed/fucked up kit, and am gonna be rockin that until I buy new aero. I just can't stand looking at how high it is anymore!!!

Specs on wheels and tires and suspension? This is basically the exact fitment I want, but maybe a wider wheel in front.

Edit: Nevermind, found it on the "Post your Enkei RPF1 Wheels" thread.

17x8 +35 225/45 front 17x9 +35 255/40 rear
I thought with an 8" wide wheel in the front would hit the springs with an ET like +35?

you know, if you don't plan on going to low(which everybody would advise if you're going to take track time seriously) you could easily fit a more aggressive 17x10+18 rpf1 in the rear, and maybe his rear size with like a 15mm spacer up front

I don't plan on going low at all. I plan on maybe having half an inch - an inch gap between the tire and fender. if that makes sense, aha.

Roads here are rough... and I mean ROUGH! You don't know a rough road until you've been to Northern Ontario and this is at it's best. During spring when the roads are still stiff and the ground is still frozen it's a nightmare.

I was thinking something like Rota p45r's 17x9 +20 all around. I don't want much poke, or any. I sorta want to be flush with the outside of the fender (not this hellaflush fad). Thinking 235/40/17 up front and 245/40/17 in the rear.

I actually really like your fitment. I wouldn't be THAT low, but like I said, maybe a half inch - an inch higher than you. I might even buy a set of crown vics since they're 200 bucks a set.

that's weird, i'm getting rota p45R's o_O 9.5" though.. OOOOR i was thinking of getting my vics widened/rebarelled(or what ever) to similar specs, since it will be the same price as buying new wheels anyways. although i'm not sure if they are forged or cast :/

oh yeah, anddd here's a pic/vid of my car, and a fat girl hahaha

Ahahaha, yeah... Mine won't have a kit on it though. That's low! A stock rx7 has a hard time getting up my drive way because where the road meets the driveway it's all torn apart and it's sorta like a little hole. Like an in-ground speed bump, aha.

Also, what exhaust do you have on there? Turbo or N/A, sounds N/A but I'm new to rx7's.

Here's what I'm picking up this weekend. Just getting insurance and plates then picking it up. 1991 N/A with 59,000 miles.

I'm running an 17x8 +33 wheel up front with 215/45 and it dosent hit the spring, but with a 225 it might be tight.

My ultimate goal was for as much rubber as I could up front without spacers or destroying my fender. I don't drive it around town very often she mostly sees the track or the mountains. The front did rub during cornering on the set of Tanabe GF210's I had. So I borrowed a set of Racingbeat springs from a friend(which raised it up a good bit but made it handle a lot better) until I can order my coil overs.
