Post pictures of your interior.

I honestly searched for this already and couldn't find one. If there is one already, please link me to it!

I was just browsing cars I can't and will never afford on eBay and was looking at this beautiful machine:
Name: 9842239_1_zps714cae11.jpg
Views: 504
Size: 46.2 KB

And it has these door panels:
Name: 9842239_15_zps741dcc10.jpg
Views: 484
Size: 54.9 KB

So I was curious if anyone has modified interiors. Dashes, door panels, center console, etc. Doesn't have to be carbon fiber, but I'm curious in moving the window switches to the center console near the fog light switch and make my door panels flat and basic.

My car is stock currently so posting a photo of my interior would be boring but I'd love to see others.

Wow, that interior is amazing. I really like the carpetless look. Needs some black suede seats now though.

Potatos, what was the reason for choosing the Passat dash? Just personal preference?

I can't see the Passat pics.

Here's a mod I'm trying to track down more info on.
Guy is swapping in a Ford motor and decided to use the dash as well.
The first shot shows the dash with the FC defrost bezel laid on top of the Ford dash.
It looks pretty damn close:

Size: 61.7 KB

The second shows it actually in the car:
Name: dash2_zpsc69d7a51.jpg
Views: 421
Size: 56.8 KB

Unfortunately, the OP has been cagey about details and I don't know exactly what part he's using or how involved the swap was.

That's one of my least favorite dashes of all time, aha. I'm surprised he wanted to use it

The dash itself doesn't interest me as much as the process does.
How difficult to bolt in/adapt, how much of the ductwork is usable (must have working heat/defrost in my car), did the FC steering column bolt up...that sort of thing.

I'm curious to see what he does for door panels. The stock ones won't flow with the roundness of that dash.

Wow. That interior looks incredible. How loud would the car be without the carpet and sound deadening? Could you still have a conversation on the highway?

I'm hardly ever having a conversation whilst WOT, ahaha. So that's not an issue. My exhaust is some custom done exhaust from a previous owner. It sounds great and it's not loud. Still have pre cats, stock cat and then splits to two mufflers. Car is a a stock n/a S5.

I just really like the look of the bare metal, but I'm assuming both of you have repainted your floors after removing the entire interior?

sure did. its not bare metal under the deadening anyway, its a coating which looks naff next to the painted areas. your exhaust shouldnt be too loud then but it depends what youre after. i was told time and time again ill regret removing my carpet, sound deadening, heater, stereo, speakers, ac, powersteer etc, etc, blah, blah. and i dont. car just feels raw. just me and her attacking the road beneath us.

I NEED music when driving. I had my deck go on me last month and didn't have music for 2 weeks and went insane. I couldn't do it. I wouldn't mind removing powersteering since I like the clean look without the huge pump/bracket. Heater would need to stay since cars driven through 0 to -40 celcius for 4 months

If I had a DD and a weekend cruiser I'd love to have it completely stripped. Two seats, a steering wheel and a manual transmission

whoa! keep the heater. lucky in auckland nz if you average the years temps its about 15degrees celcius. rarely going below 8 and getting upwards of 28 at times.

It's April now and the highest we get is ~5 celcius. At that temp I'm outside in shorts and t-shirt.
