Pic/Video Request: Stock Exhaust FCs
I've personally never seen/heard the stock exhaust. Local Police wrote me a ticket for my RB system. I don't think the RB setup is that loud especially compared to some other setups I've seen/heard
Any pics/videos of the stock exhaust would be appreciated.

Your car is loud as %&@$.
Heres a video I found on youtube of a stock sounding T2 FC.

I can't believe you got pulled over with a RB catback setup. I think a RB catback with no presilencer or cats is probably still streetable. I'll make a video within the next couple weeks of my bone stock car's exhaust.

So you're talking about the N/A? Your RB header is probably making things more noticeable for cops. Every N/A 7 I've heard with tubular headers tends to be loud as hell, especially at higher RPMs. But I wouldn't ditch the header, just put in a cat. You could go with the expensive RB unit, or Bonez makes a good one. You could start with a basic non-flanged cat ( http://www.rx7.com/store/rx7/fcexhaust.html ) in your correct exhaust size and and have an exhaust shop weld piping and flanges to make you a replacement piece for your presilencer.
My TII is running stock exhaust, and it's the quietest thing ever. It's really ridiculous. It gets comments from non-rotary people about how quiet it is. The stock N/A system is noticeably louder, but I still think it would be overkill to solve your problem.
You could also consider going back to log manifold... Or not changing anything. I think your luck was bad this time.

The Big Ugly!
Were you throttling the car at a light or something my old 7 had the RB system & it was pretty quiet, but the Apexi N1 sytem was alot louder & cops never messed with me for the exh.

I think it was just some cop trying to ding me for driving an import more than anything. This was in the N/A and it has the RB Header/Presilencer/Cat-back. It previously had a cat after the header but the difference in noise between the cat and presilencer was very little. Was just driving normally shifting at around 4k back to my house.
I'm gonna fight it though because it's passed state inspection twice with the same setup on it. The law in VA is super vague too because it says if it isn't the stock setup it's illegal
