Pic Request: RX8 Seats in a Vert!

Has anyone ever done this? I've seen RX8 seats in plenty of hardtops, but never in a vert.

I have a set sitting around collecting dust, (since my hardtop is taking WAY TOOOOOOOO LONG to finish,) and since my vert seats are kind of busted I'm thinking about doing a swap.

I'm wondering about height clearance and such...

My buddy has them in his ls1 vert in rocky mount. I am going to see if I can find a pic of them. The passenger one sits higher than the drivers seat. They looked good.

How much higher? Dramatically noticeable, or slightly noticeable?

I've been fabing up the 8 seats to fit during the last few nights.
Should have them done in a day or so.
<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />I am not taking the approach most people have done and using aftermarket seat tracks or welding RX7 brackets onto the RX8 seats, mainly for height clearance reasons, so it has been an engineering challenge.
I'll have pics of my install up once it's complete...
Please post yours in the mean time though.

GOOD luck with the build of using stock fc rails to fit the 8 seats... damn nightmare when i tried to fabricate using the stock rails to fit my seats.. ended up sitting too high or uneven..

if you call wedge engineering then can custom make them for you and they sit just as low as stock... but like always the passenger seat is always higher just little bit

I'm not using stock FC rails, I am using the RX8 rails and modifying them to work with 2 of the existing FC seat bolt locations. The other 2 seat bold locations had to be modded.

My driver's side is already done, and it was an engineering NIGHTMARE to get it to work, but after I actually drive around in them I might deem that it was worth.

Once I get the passenger side in I'm going to create a How To.
This project was not for the weak at hear though. The carpet had to be removed to get to the floor boards, the seat had to be stripped down to just the rails and electric motors, and a **** TON of welding, grinding, and cutting had to be accomplished.

(I really should have thought this one over before I started.)
