(Pic Request) Logicon relocation

So i'm thinking of moving my Logicon down to the double din space where the equalizer went. i have a cd player now, and i think as far as ergonomics go it would make more sense to put the head unit where the logicon is now. the logicon would go to the bottom of the double din space, and maybe i'd slap some cup holders in to fill up the the space above it.

any got pics of something like this? i haven't ever pulled the logicon out, i assume i'd just have to extend the wires of the harness going into the unit?

i bought a sheet of ABS today, and started gutting the center console. man is the lefthand plug of the logicon, the one that connects to the harness up be the vents, was a major PITA to get loose. haven't cut any plastic yet, but just doing a rough mock up it looks like the CD player will fit fine and the leads for the logicon have enough slack in them. i'll take some pics when this is all done.

Clokker

EDIT: bam here you go. https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generation-specific-1986-1992-17/holy-grail-849702/

it looks stock at first appearance, and I really like it. If i had any gauges to put on the dash i would do this.

i'm not completely finished but here is an update and some pics. i've never messed around with ABS before, so this was a learning experience. kinda tedious, and not the best fit but i'm ok with it for now. still need to cut out the hole for the cup holder ( i'm using the same style out of on older subie wagon that clokker used) and i need to figure out how to secure it inside the console. planning on putting the drink holder at the top if the radio area. gotta get this **** all buttoned up tomorrow morning, want to have it done before the Rotard V meet.

mostly for driver ergonomics. the PO had the cd player mounted at the bottom of the radio area. this meant that i could not change cd's while in 1st, 3rd, or 5th gear as the shifter was in the way. i've also wanted some drink holders for a while now so i figured wtf, two birds with one stone kinda thing.

i think it looks great. nice work. you couldn't even change cd's with the single din head unit on the top half of the oem double din space?

Very nice, the fit looks excellent.
I'm a big fan of ABS for this type of work, it has a "close-to-OEM" look and is relatively easy to work with.

That looks very good. I've thought of doing something similar as I'd like to have some gauges in the center, but don't want them down low like I did in my last RX-7. I'd also like to avoid moving the warning lights, even though that may be the most natural location for a few aftermarket gauges.
