Painted my windshield wipers (pics)

Well, the wipers were pissing me off and I needed new blades anyways, so I went down to AutoZone and got new wipers and the proper spray paint. Sanded them down, put on a few coats of paint. Makes a huge difference when you see it in person.

Front Before (The other one looked the same, don't know why I only took a picture of the one, it was like 7:30am)

for my door trim i use a flat black heavy duty rustoleum and for my wipers i used rustoleum high gloss heavy duty paint... strong stuff, i suggest using a primer just to prevent future rust problems. Oh yeah and some minor sanding.

You really can't prevent future rust problems on wiper arms, especially the fronts.
They are constantly getting blasted and ineveitably will begin to show paint wear.

I prefer satin black for trim items like this...it matches the original factory finish and is easily touched up.

Satin Rust-o-leum works great. My problem with wiper arms is I always get wax on them when I do my hood and the wax destroys the flat/satin paint.

Haha, when I first saw the title, I was expecting to see a slammed kitted FC with yellow wipers or something But seriously, that looks really good. I need to do mine for sure.

Yeah my front wiper blades arms got powdercoated. The front bessel(sp) got sprayed in the paint booth with 2 coats of black and 2 coats of clear. Along with all the winsheld surrounds and driver and passenger window treatments. It looks like a new car... Even the convertible cover buttons got taken off and powdercoated black.

Nice- now do the grill thing below the wipers. It makes it all look good.

I painted the wiper arms, the grill thing under the arms, and sanded and painted the window trim a few weeks back in an hours time and smiled when I look at them for days. It's the little **** that counts

I've done wipers on 2 cars. 1st started to rust a year later after sanding and using 2 coats of rustoleum. Next time I used primer after sanding, then 2 coats of black and it looks perfect 1 year and a half later. It's neat how much it will change the appeal of the car even though it's very subtle.
