opinions on wheels and setup

well i sold the watanabe wheels they just werent doing it for me. im super picky when it comes to wheels that fit a cars body style and design.

i have been looking for a long time and come to my conclusion two sets and am now debating what to do next....

here for reference is how the car sits now.

the first set is.... lets just say Agressive!

16x8.5 -27offset all the way around...

after some calculations i need to account for about 2.45" more than my current watanabe RS8. which will leave aproximatly 1.5" of wheel/tire outside my current stock fenders with full camber on my coilovers. if i go with this setup i will be attempting to use some fender flares or a MAJOR roll/pull. i know some of you will have more experience with this and i will need your input.

the second set would be a stager

16x7 and 16x8 with a +12 offset.

more agressive but not too crazy. possible roll pull slightly on this setup since it would be accounting for about +15 to 16mm more.

feel free to photoshop if you like

i went with the second set just because the overall look of your car at THIS POINT is not that aggressive i just think that with the two tone and the mild body styling this would look sick! Good luck on the decision

Only thing hypertek is I like the look of an oldschool wheel and one reason I sold the watanabe's was to get a wheel with a stepped lip. Plus I'm not a big fan of 17" wheels on these cars. To much wheel looks funny to me.

I am feeling the work equips but the 4 inch lip is tempting!!!

**** it go for the first... changed my mind, go big or go home. I think you'll get close to the look of that panda AE86 if your still going for it. Anyway you choose its a win.

Haha I may paint them. Dunno at this point. Anyone ever attempted fender flares? Anyone have some that they would contribute to the panda!!!
