Newbie from Uk with UK FC turbo 2
Just Thought i would say hi a few peep may know me from driftworks.co.uk and powerdrift.co.uk , I have just purchased an Fc with an engine problem , collecting car this week , the guy who owns the car does not know anything about cars at all with his own admission , real nice guy and very honest too , I tried to start the car but my battery jump pack went flat car seem to turn over nicely but i did notice straight way that the boost pipes going to the intercooler where all loose and there is no jubilee clips holding them on, Iam crossing my fingers hoping thats the problem and the engine is fine ( dont get much luck so hopping )
Just bought some wheels to fit to the car and aint even got it running yet
Heres some pics
Had these work miester S1 sitting round for a while but only had 2
but found some ssr500 that dont look to bad to try and match
what you all think , and dont ask the size as i know there going to struggle to fit but i will get them on with out modding body too much

Thats a great looking car though... Even if you do need to put a new motor in it really isn't hard. Took me a weekend on my first try...
Did you do a compression test on the motor? That would have been the easiest way to find out how the engine is doing...
If you dont have a compression tester just pull out one plug on the front and one on the rear. You should hear evenly spaced WOOSH WOOSH WOOSH WOOSH WOOSH WOOSH....if it isn't timed evenly then you have no compression somewhere...
GOOD LUCK WITH IT!

Very brief below, more detail in FAQ and/or archives:
You can hold in the pressure release button on a regular compression tester and look at the needle for even bounces. Remove lower plugs on both rotors, remove EGI Inj. fuse, hold throttle open, crank with a good battery. Add a teaspon of oil and re-test each chamber. Same idea as on a piston engine.
