when I got my top it did not come with the fasteners, if you need them try to find them anywhere but mazda, you would not believe the price of those ******* things.

the first one, which is a bolt, was something like $40 when I had to buy one.

We just replaced the top on our 91 white vert, we stayed with the black vinyl. The best price I found for the Robbins top was $499 at http://www.topsonline.com/index.php?CarmodelID=804000

I have seen the Ebay/AA Best tops in person and the fitment was not great. The Robbins top fits perfectly, we also replaced the rear headliner and every seal while we had it apart.

Banzai, what was the approximate cost on replacing all those seals? I'm due for that project soon and would like to know which arm and leg I'll need to sell to get them.

DAMN YOU THREAD JACKERS YOU!!! JK I dont care lol. But wow that would be nice to have a top like a Jag, I was just down at the Ferrari/Lambo/Jag/Porsche/carsIwillneverhave dealer and was trying to hold my self back from taking one lol But the Jag tops did look vary good.

Banzai I too need to redo all my seals what did that run?

Got to love the black hole that this car has made for me lol a few buck here a few there.

All the seals were around $300, that was for every piece that touches the top

Really? I didn't replace them because they leaked. Replaced them because they had to be removed to install the new top. Amazingly it still doesn't leak even with all new factory seals...hmmm, must be something wrong with our car.

So the more I read, the more I think when they talk headliner they arent talking about the part that covers the interior of the targa piece.

maybe its a regional thing, 4 out of 4 verts I have had all leaked.

My vert I got from the original owner and everytime the car went in for service it had a "check top for leaks" work order.
