new project
so here is the background story on this one its a 91 gxl. the former owner had the rear compression go in the stock engine. so they bought a hayes engine and never finished hooking everything else back up. they also did racing beat header, act clutch, light weight flywheel, and racing beat oil cooler lines.
i did get the stock engine which had been unfortunately sitting in water. the foam crate held it well. a friend of mine who is also on here helped me to tear it down tonight. this took us less than an hour to do. i was kind of surprised as how fast this went. we discovered that the rear rotor ate the seal which scored the rotor and pretty much killed it.
as for the engine in the car we plan to do a compression test and then go from there. i have done some research on here and am hesitant about the quality of the parts inside the engine.

so i know i'm going to need a radiator, brake rotors and pads so far. i don't see the ac worth keeping in it right now since it was disconnected.
my friend told me to get r1 concept rotors which we priced out at about $200 for front and rear rotors.
