NEED HELP!!! trying to build my own Air Diversion Plate for the FC

CA NEED HELP!!! trying to build my own Air Diversion Plate for the FC

hey i just need someone who already has a Air Diversion Plate for there FC... i just need to trace a template on to cardboard so i can make my own... im planning to either use aluminum sheet metal or some sort of acrylic glass plate.... i know a lot of vendors sell them but i dont have the money to buy one lol... so im trying the next best thing which is making my own...

if anyone can help me out with getting a template, ill be sure to make them a deal and make one for free =]

please help me out!!!

I made mine on my CNC machine, but in order to get the dimensions I just grabbed some cardboard and cut it to shape, then trimmed it where needed. Once you have the cardboard version you can trace it to aluminium or the material of your choice.

Mine is a 3 piece design that requires moving the overflow tank as well as modifying the hood latch. I'll see f I have pictures somewhere.

what you do with the latch though?

but now i found a seller that would sell me a CF one for a good price.. better than what i see on ebay and other vendors =] so might scrap the project.. unless i do buy this one and then make custom copies if anyone is interested? will let you guys know once i get it

I cut off the stock arm that you would normally pull up on, then I added a pull cord to the other side. To open the hood I pop it from inside the car like normal, then reach through the opening in the bumper and pull down on the cord. I have to bend bend down to open the hood, but it's not much more effort then the oem latch.

The cut outs in the panel for the latch always bothered me, so for me personally this is a good compromise.

dam thats clever, i suppose it could slow down thieves a little bit as well
