White Lip on AE FC

Just mounted the lip on my AE.

Overall it looks very good. I like the aggressive look it gives the front.
I wonder if the slot in the bottom has any real purpose? Down force, underside ventilation or a place to mount some thin drivers lights.

I plan on getting some longer bolts/spacers for the four bolts in the front of the under-pan and running them through the lip for added support.

The color matches OK with the tired old stock paint job. I now plan on removing the front nose and lip and having them painted.

The fitments has some issues. I made slits in the mounting lip but could only flex out little of the mismatch. Worst in the front corners.
The sides aliened well after making slits. Be careful on how much you ask this piece to flex.

Made it out of the driveway and back in without a scrape.

Fresh air intake?

If you box the lower vent closed and run a duct to your intake, you might just have a high pressure fresh air intake!

You could also make some holes in the undertray in front of the radiator for additional air.

Also, the lip was originally intended for an s5 bumper, so the bottom part of the bumper can be trimmed for a larger opening.
