Words cannot even begin to explain the thoughts that came to mind when reading this post... you wrecked your car (and someone else's) being a dumbass and doing stupid ****.... Now you are fixing it up to "kill so high way bullys"? (Whatever the **** that means, I am assuming you meant "Kill some highway bullies").

Seriously after reading this post you should not even attempt to race anyone, you can't even handle your car on a normal street and you want to race people on the highway/freeway? Do us all a favor and sell your car, pickup an NA and learn to drive before you get someone killed next time , then pickup a TII

Aw c'mon guys he's obviously looking for words of encouragement and not to be put down.... although it seems as though there is some confusion here...

OP: you say you lost control of your car by hydroplaning yet you wanna race people on the highway?

No bueno dude. Leave the racing on the track or to professionals or expect to be bashed on. Unfortunately, anyone that crashes a car doing something stupid gets ZERO empathy.

PS: Good luck with your build, post pics, and keep us updated

Sorry but I, and assuming most people, do not give out "words of encouragement" to people who wreck their car, and in this case another persons car, resulting from driving recklessly....

If you want to race or drift go to a track. If you want to show off to your buddies at least be somewhat smart and go to a wide open parking lot with no other cars or people around, that way you do not drag someone down with you when you fail like the OP did.

Proof read your posts before you submit them. And, don't race on the street. While I'm sure most of us have found ourselves giving in at some point, don't do it. Track days, autocross days, and so many other things exist for the purpose of finding out just what you, and your car can do at their best.

A track is a completely different beast than any back, windy road.

So, save your car the pain, save other's the pain, save your wallet the pain from higher insurances, and spend that money you're saving getting out on a track.

Oh, and please, don't talk like this is AIM on here. Please?

I don't mean to be a huge downer here but the reason we all are promoting taking racing to the track is so that you don't kill yourself, your car, and most importantly an innocent bystander. We've had several guys on this forum die from car crashes. Recently in the West section we had an FD get totaled around Thanksgiving from a T-bone collision to his passenger side. He survived, is recovering, and has since picked up an NSX. Dave Segalla was killed driving his RX-7 3 years ago by a van that blew a tire and hit him head on. The point of this post was to let you know that it really can happen to you, whether you're the guy dying or the one getting charged with manslaughter. We've all been stupid at some point but we learned from it. I hope you've learned too after totaling your car.

Is this a "push" to be more safe or something else. I crashed on the track like a week before this guy and I want to be a little bit smarter about how I drive on the track.

Translation(?):
"Fellow forum goers, I'd like to share an incident that occurred one very rainy Thursday, November 12th. On that night I crashed my 1987 TII and destroyed the front bumper and Greedy Front Mount, and bent both fenders. I completed a delivery, and was en route to pick up a friend, when suddenly I discovered the hazards of heavy rain. My vehicle slid across a set of railroad tracks and was gratefully stopped by a parked Pontiac. I could only blame myself for driving recklessly in hazardous conditions.

After acquiring enough funds and time to recover from my incident, my car's restoration is nearly complete. The local body shop has done splendid work in repairing the damage: they straightened the chassis, restored the bumper and fenders, and painted it a wonderful shade of red found on 2007 MazdaSpeed5's. I will install a new Bride Aero seat in the immediate future, and plan to purchase a Power FC and rims to intimidate other highway drivers and hold my own in a match of speed and skill."

Cliff Notes:
"I broke my car when I slid around in the rain. Now I've fixed it and plan to race people on highways."

Let us know how your build goes.
