the box is bolted down with 4 bolts.. then ima use the strap that is provided with the battery box and wrap it underneath box then over.

It's a type of cable that has more strands than conventional battery cable, making them more flexible.

use particle board at the top of the batt. carpet it and place your breaker and other fuses on it. ive seen some nice installs this way. still looks good though, the board just hides more stuff.

You can get it at your local home improvement store like Lowe's, Home Depot, OSH, ACE, etc.

Looks good...
The only thing I would change is try to get those terminal / post covers for all the + connections - like the ones at the circuit breakers.
You want to keep + connections are covered as possible to prevent shorts.
You can get these things at Del City or almost any electronics parts shop.

Yeah, the battery box is not a nice fit, but for $10 can you really complain?
If you want something that fits well, you either gotta go custom or search for something else...
I haven't found anything else that fit well for cheap.
I mean the box works well enough and for the price it's hard to beat.

i thought about using pieces of angle iron (plated) and bolting them to the body so the batt. fits snug in the iron. using the battey tie down hooks from your local parts store then cover it with particle board. not the cheapest way but it might get the look you want? you can always use wshers or something between the ody and angle iron to "level" so the batt sits flush...

here is what im talking about...
