haha I hear ya, I've debated selling my vert a few times, because I have been moving around a lot with jobs and since my top is not 100 % perfect I always look for a place to store it and I do think at times it would be easier with a coupe. But usually when I have those thoughts I take it out for a drive with the top down and I remember how great it is, especially going to the beach in the summer with.

Yeah new seats would look great in the car and would be nice not fade with the sun damage and such that is bound to happen over years, but I would like to keep the car in somewhat stock condition when it comes to the interior. But who knows at this point.

they came with some good brackets but they werent as smooth as the stock ones so i put the stock brackets on the seats and bolted it down... surprisningly they fit well, i had to drill a hole in the bracket but it was good other than that... ill get you some pics of the interior

Aren't those the Mazdaspeed seats everyone says are knock offs? I'm no expert but I think I've seen pics posted of those seats before and someone always says that those aren't MS seats.

If they fit fine, are comfy, and you like them thats all that matters though. How much were they? Where did you get them?

I like your setup so far man. You got those seats for a pretty good price. I won't be getting anything like that for my current vert. I probably will when I pick up another for a project car. lol

pics of the vert

The Top is in good condition except for those half inch rips on both sides, the car is crazy dirty because I haven't a chance to do anything with it due to weather and work except for starting it up a couple days a week and thats all because I dropped the insurance while I fix a few things. The passenger seat is out until I can rug doctor the interior carpet because its pretty nasty, I have a bunch of new parts sitting in my garage new radiator, intake kit and ordered the exhaust and a few other parts just can't find the time to get it in or the weather is bad.

thanks man, Yeah I've had people say they can repair them easily, but they dont know if it will keep water out and I don't even wanna test a repair fix, I'm just gunna buy a whole new top with a warranty from a shop local and not have to worry about it any more.

Yeah a few months the one day it rained the one day when my cover got ripped and it wasn't covered it rained good and hard and of course on that day my door seals went and water seeped in and under the carpet on both drivers and passengers side, so I had to rip up the carpet throw out all the sound deadening foam stuff that is under the carpet that soaked up the water, then bleach the metal below it to make sure no mold would grow. And unfortunately its been too cold here to rug doctor the carpet yet since you usually want some hot sun to dry up the carpet otherwise it will never stay dry.

I can't wait for spring to come haha

Oh man that sucks. I went out and bought a custom cover the day I got mine to make sure that doesn't happen. If it rains at work, I park under the canopy we have there.

Degreaser is a good way to clean the engine bay, but it does make rubber swell if you use too much. Either way you're in for one when the time comes lol

Yeah I thought about investing in a custom cover, but since I have to leave mine out during winters and when it snows and when we get freezing rain they become very brittle with the ice and I had my mechanic buddy already rip one that way, so I just keep buying the cheap 60 dollar ones, they do get the job done just not of great quality. I'm only on my second one so far haha.

Yeah I was worried about that for a while too. Mine was around $100 or so (My roomate bought it for me). It is ice and snow proof too. I'll ask him when he gets home from vacation what kind of material and where he got it from.

I finally got around to steam clean the car, was lookin around the garage and found this old bra that came with the car I put in a box a few years back and forgot about, just to see how it looked I threw it on and took some pics.

Looks kinda weird and It connects to come velcro inside the hood and the metal pieces bend over the fenders, would be good to slap on if I drove down a stone or pebble road.

I called him and asked. It's called NOAH Block-It Fabric. They make them for virtually any make and model. My version is called Evolution. It help block fine dust too. They can range anywhere from $120-200.

You can find some here:
