My 1990 GTU
Well I have had the thing since May when I got it for my b-day. Got it w/ the rear rotor at 0 compression and since have been sourcing parts for the turbo conversion. Anyways I got the turbo motor dropped in the other day and decided I would post the pics of it since I never did it before. Only payed 600 for it but had to drive 600 miles to pick it up and then 600 towing it back. Going to pick up the TII hood I bought from farberio tomorrow. Well here are the pics after I got her all cleaned up.
(dont worry I took off the liscense plate holder)
and a pic of my cheap bbs knock off's lol. ^^mom's miata in the garage too lol

Ha ha ya it looks good in white but im painting it some shade of red as soon as I can afford it. Thats last step though right now im working on getting it on the road and in process of that piecing my stereo together which will consist of a Pioneer 7900bt head unit, JL audio 500/1 amp, JL audio 300/4 amp, Polk audio mmc6500 component speakers, and a JL audio W6 12" sub in a my own custom built box that looks as stock as possible for a sub to look. So far I have the 500/1 and the speakers lol. Also plan on as dark a tint as indiana allows.

No there just cheap aftermarket wheels some guy took off his bmw and my dad had them laying around the shop so I got them for free. The Pontiac ones are very different I believe even though they are similar style. Im hoping to get some 17" 6 spoke rims in white if I paint the car red but thats going to be a while. So much snow out I really hope I can go pick up the turbo hood.

I cant get into my driveway if I lower it. It would tear the front bumper to shreds coming up the ally. Its gonna be my DD but hopefully not my winter driver lol.

Keep it white or sell it and buy a red fc. White is hard to find and well looks better!
If you decide to sell I would buy it and you can keep the motor.

I am somewhat partial to the rims myself but the fact that there cheap knock offs just makes the car seem cheap to me. As long as the car is white it will have those rims though. I was also considering ordering some bbs center cap logo's to replace the ones on them lmao.

You're crazy for painting that car. And those rims have got to go IMO. You got a steal for $600. I paid $1800 for mine with no clear coat at all, well, except for a strip down the middle of the hood. Then again, had good compression and ran, but not very well.

The car only looks that good w/ 3 coats of wax on. And it only lasts about 2 weeks of shine so ya it really needs painted at least clear coat but the paint is flaking very badly around the hatch. The rims and paint are the last on my to do list. First it needs to run then it needs a stereo. Then I can start thinking about some other things for it.
