Question Missing parts on a convertible... wtf all go's back here?

S5 Vert guy who had it gutted the back.

I got the main carpet piece that has the wind shield on it... I would take a shot of this but I lost the cord for the cam so no way to up load. Its screws in just fine on the by the seats, but in the back there is nothing for them to screw in to. I was hoping some vert guys could help me and take some pic's of the area... is there any molding, brackets under the carpet that is missing anything that has to do with this area... I am at a loss and its not like there are a lot of vert's around me I can just look at.

And yes zip ties were holding the passenger seat belt up haha.

Thanks Guys
Zane

Your spare tire goes back there plus a couple of molded trim pieces that you rear carpet section sits on. I dont have any pics of that area on mine but I'm sure someone has one.

your missing alot, I dont have any pictures but there is trim for the sides and the obvious cover that goes there unless you have that with the carpet and the windscreen
may want to replace that ziptied seat belt

Cuz he was stupid? Maybe he was thinking he could save weight... but he keep the top motors in, you know they are not 50 pounds or anything Don't even get me started on his wiring Hell I want to do a TII swap just so I force my self to have nice neat wiring. Project car you got to love them... especially when they are your DD.

oh man, its like the dark mystery of what goes back there. i have owned 12 FC'S, one of them being a vert, and i still dont know all the pieces that go back there. there are some weird trim pieces that go back there that are vert specific, one of them is a long carpet piece that goes from the back to just behind the font seats.

it's not that big a mystery. I have a vert as my DD and I'll tell you everything you're missing.

1. long carpet that goes horizontally against the back wall
2. 2 black plastic things that attach as a support on the left and right side
3. spare donut wheel
4. spare donut wheel hardware to screw the wheel on
5. vert back cargo cover. (it's a 2 piece thing that's 1/2 molded carpet, half a folding plastic wind delfector for when the top is down)

And there you have it, if i missed anything, vert owners please chime in.

Well that's not to bad I have one down haha the back cargo cover... so anyone know how I can get 1-4? Do you need the dount wheel, like is it actual wheel holding anything up? If not how do I find 1 and 2 haha. The sound deadening carpet was in when I got it but it was wet and smelly. I been planing on getting more and was thinking about putting the battery back there but Idk about that yet.

well the spare is for when you have a flat, it bolts onto that bracket that is sticking up directly in the center. If you've got the cargo cover, you're pretty much covering all the crap. that you're missing, and the only point in getting it would be for your own satisfaction/peace of mind. #1 is also like a sound deadening/padding for the donut. If you can hunt down the 2 strut tower carpets you're golden.

My suggestions: Ebay, or your local junkyard. Verts are rare in the yard, but I've seen them there.

and #2 is like a support for the cargo cover, just don't place stuff on top of your cover if you don't have it in.
