Is a joke? Your 2nd gear lasts 20mph? All your numbers besides 1st are waaaaaaay off.

With the NA trans it was:

1st. 30mph
2nd. 65mph
3rd. 105mph
4th. 140mph
5th. ? Loosing speed, probably 180mph+

With the TII drivetrain its a lot shorter. 5th gear is actually usable and I imagine it'd top out ~170mph.

You think his numbers are way off?
There aren't any stock bodied NAs pushing much over 140, Turbos maybe 10-15 MPH higher.

180 mph?
Ain't gonna happen.

Reading owns you

5th. ? Loosing speed, probably 180mph+ (as in-if the engine had the power/torque to redline the gear)

Actually, my reading comprehension skills are quite good, thank you for asking.

Your writing skills could use a bit of honing however.
If you intended that the reader understand that the theoretical top speed of the NA tranny was 180 mph, you might have written, "The theoretical top speed of the NA transmission is 180 mph but of course, we all understand that there's a big difference between theory and practice. In practice, the NA will top out about 140 mph."

You see how that works?

If you'd like, tomorrow we can cover the proper use of the semi-colon.

Go here, seriously: http://www.catherineandken.co.uk/sti/tyres.html

Plug in 7000 RPM, transmission gear ratios, rear end ratio & tire size. It's all in the standard specifications thread.

GEARS LIMIT TOP SPEED IN EACH GEAR.

I put in 4850 in the redline and 185/ 65 14 and thoose numbers look like what's going on in my 7... that is if I shift at 7.5 on the tach...

So does this sound like my tach isn't workin right?
