Lowering 1.5" with Ground Control

I'm buying some GC's but see that they can only be lowered 1.5".
I have a 16"x7/8" RS's that I'm using so would 1.5" be a good drop?
I'm looking for an aggressive look but not "Hellagay"

1.5 should be enough for a stock bodied with 16s

this is only about 1.0in drop on teins with the stock 16

same specs just different wheels

a higher profile or bigger wheels would help the aggressive look imo

Will post pictures tomorrow with my gay 15's on.
I want moar low so if I upgraded the front strut mounts with camber plates, I think it should drop it quite a bit more letting me drop the rears more.
Overall ride quality is decent.

think you can go with something better then that setup, esp if thats your setup in your sig picture, deserves some real coilovers =)

+1^

I'm running GC coilovers too and I too suggest coilovers if you can afford them...I got my setup brand new 2 yrs ago for $900!!!! :faceplam:

But all in all the AGX shocks and Eibach springs have been good to me for DD and touge runs

This is a 1" drop in front and rear

^That drop looks very clean. Obviously not slammed, looks more like how the rx7 should have come from the factory. Nice.

$300 for ground controls and tokiko blues. cant really complain. Rides decent and if I bought either racing beat strut mounts or camber plates, i could lower the fronts 2.25" which is fine by me. The rears could be dumped, its just the fronts holding it back.

But after dumping $$$ into my engine setup, I'm starting to be cheap haha.
Whatever, lowered another half inch with my RS', and a front lip, and I'll be fine.

Tell John V that ground control sucks. Tell all the people he is beating in autocross too. https://www.rx7club.com/showpost.php...5&postcount=91

Actually you're right^^^

A lot of autoX guys and SCCA guys would rather run a Shock/ Spring combo.

I see a lot of guys do the GC coilovers with Koni Yellows and Custom Eibach spring rates....since they are not all about "SLAMMING" a car....the GCs work prefectly for road race applications...
