Well, got my first ticket today.
Im 17 and just got my first ticket. I was teaching my buddy have to drive a 5-speed at my high school and as were leaving i whipped a couple doughnuts and bam theres a cop sittin right in front of me as i came to a stop. Got hit with a $109 careless driving ticket but luckly no trespassing ticket since it was 10oclock.
Live, and learn from your ****-ups...
109 isn't bad for that. During my senior year in mid winter(snow, lots of it) a group of us were messing around in the parking lot after school, cops came in and two guys lost their license and got over $500 fined.

I think im going to fight this one because i didnt even really do a doughnut, i jus turned around quick and it was more like a 180. There was no smoke or anything so idk. We'll see what happens.
just own up to it. my old teacher was a cop and a judge, he said he hated when kids gave him an attitude and tried to argue about how they didn't do anything wrong. pay the 109 and try to do community service instead of getting points taken away from your future license.
ps i was 14 for my first ticket but i did 30 hours of community service instead of loosing 6 points for failure to signal turn in a school zone. and a fine of 150 plus 80 dollars for the impound.

My first ticket was 70-something in a 40. Admit when you're wrong and do anything to avoid getting points on your license. I got 16 hours of community service. But I still have a clean record. well, pretty much!
Now I may be wrong but if you were trying to do a doughnut regardless if you actually pulled it off the cop still saw you not driving correctly. So there's no point in trying to argue it to a judge, they don't like that coming from a young guy. Pay the ticket it seems to be quite low & learn from this, because next time you could get hit with a bigger fine if not even hurt someone.
My first was something like 29 mph over. Was 16 at the time and decided I'd race against a car through town(in my big gasser truck lol). Yes, I was ******* retarded, despite all the advice you get when your young, you still have to find out the hard way...
OP: Don't argue it, that's plainly stupid. Your better off admitting you should of been thinking.

You can't keep your story straight with us, yet you want to argue it in court, when the cop was right there, probably recording it with a dash cam?

My first ticket was $400 for doing 95+ (actually doing 130, cop was nice). Anyways just pay your ticket and don't get caught again.
Oh and I remember what it was like to be 17, exaggeration and being cool is a big part of your game, lay off him guys he's just a kid.

Seriously? You should be VERY happy you only got a $109 fine. He could have f-ed you over so bad if he wanted to. Ive done a few pretty bad things before but always got it down to cheap tickets because i was respectful.
Sorry man, but for the safety of others on the road I feel your car may be too much for you as it is! Learn to appreciate what your car is capable of before trying to jump into something else. If you can't act responsibly in what you may consider to be a slow car makes me think you would act foolish in a car of superior power. Good luck to you though.
