Looking for a body kit

I did search but couldnt really find anything. Is there a general thread of different body kits available for the FC?
I totalled my FC this weekend but I am going to try to fix her up. IMO the damage is not too severe but the insurance company felt the need to total it.

Any suggestions on a body kit or what to do with the car? Besides the obvious that you are going to tell me to paint it a different color.....

haha, hell no! keep that color, i love to be different.

as far as body kits go, thats a tough one. you get what you pay for as far as quality goes... if you look on some of the major sponsorers most of them carry different brands... im not sure what price range your talking about so its hard to say... you could always go the ebay route... or corksport has some options for the "well off" folks... good luck!

i saw, keep it stock and just get a front lip for the bumper... looks hot with a nice lowering job...

Dang Flea, wrecked already??

Scroll towards the bottom. That should get you started. Also, check out the vendor section or just the general 2nd Gen section.

This is also in the for sale section:

sorry to hear about your wreck, didn't you just get this car?

Maybe check local salvage yards for fenders, etc.. but the for sale section probably has most of what you need.

Too many choices out there - widebody, minimal changes, tried and true - GP kit, get wild Mariah, big bucks Origin - Eribuni, Mazdatrix (sp) - Knightsport, Shine- just to name a few.
If you want a certain look, it's out there.- Ebay is the best place to get a good idea though. You can go there and see the repo kits to find the look you like, and then if you got the cash, you can locate the true sites. A good inexpensive kit on ebay I considered and heard good things about was - BMagic - you can get anything you want - wide fenders up to the full 8 piece kit.

Things to consider first:
The obvious, what can you afford?
How much more can you afford after you set your budget and you go over it?
Tools you already own, tools you would have to purchase.
body working supplies -more than you think.
If going wider, you will need the tires and rims to go w/ the look.
Your skill level? - be honest, it's not for everybody.
A place to do it.
fiberglass in your skin - not fun. - no matter what you buy, it will need to be fitted - or pay more than the kit itself to have a specialty shop do it for you.
Having -Way more time than you thought it was going to take according to your original estimate.

The reality for me:
first timer: - I got the Raceon -RMAGIC 8 piece wide body kit.
Fittment, - not good, EX: - rear bumper edges stuck out from the sides of the car over 3 inches
Some pieces were glassed so thin in areas that they broke out and created holes that I needed to repair.

Resolution- learned how to use a dremil to grind out the extra flashing on the inside of the panels -
I used clamps to hold pieces in place w/ heat lamps directed at the piece for about 3 days. This warped the piece to fit the shape of the car. - my own invention

The result: - you get addicted to it and can't stop - at least I did.

The proof:

Still a work in progress . . . somewhat clean, but by no means perfect yet.

I have done way more than what originally came w/ the body kit! - like I said, it's addictive!

For me, it's all about the individuality of your car.

Clean/stock is cool, but not for me.

Whatever you decide to do, agreed, change the color

Later,

Troy Fitz.

as for the pink car, hope you didnt thing you are the only one with a pink FC. when i was in japan, phillipines and guam (im from guam) lol. there were pink FCs baby blue, neon orange and neon green. where i come from we called it FOB, Freash of the Boat for the ricey asians. not saying you are. im just saying in america, ya you are different with the pink, but everywhere else. nope. i joined not too long ago, and so far i see dominant red FCs. MY CAR IS RED! i think my finnishing color will be florescent red with gold metal flake. with black and leopard print interior for the ladies. a disco ball and those ebay stickers that tell women to take their tops off because the car is too fast...lol

Well i rock a uras knock off kit for drifting under 400 bucks so when i F#$& it up I dont really care. But if i ever just turned my car into a cruiser (Never gonna happen) I would get something a bit less aggressive like orgin stylish kit only because i wouldnt worry about destroying it so wouldnt be concerned dropping 8 bills for it. but if you add a body kit wheel fitment and ride height are key or else it looks like crap no matter what. And on the color go a paler pink not much but not so hot pink. that particular shade makes it look like a failed attempt at a barbie corvette.

Wow... I am speechless in my viewing of the car. It is seldom that I see a car tweaked to that extreme.

Still a work in progress . . . somewhat clean, but by no means perfect yet.

There is nothing clean about that car... good luck selling it when you get tired of the look.
