at a place called M&L wrecking i found a beauty of a white on black coupe. not only is the carpet in great shape but it also has the famed hatch cover completely set up with the speaker cover mounts and the snap on by thestorage bins. the carpet on the cover was great but the cardboard inside needed a little help around the edges. car still had the rubber radio surround some scratches by the lighter. perfect tilt sterring column cover. black headliner with power sunroof. the wrinkle type leather doors. two seats but drivers got a big rip (black leather, good for restore maybe) the passenger side s-5 light has a 1 inch crack in the blinker corner. the drivers side light was great (he told me i could have the drivers side light for 25 bucks, but i got a vert and the sizes are different) still had the spoiler on it. if i had a coupe i wouldve cleaned up anyways heres their number 954 792 3880.

also at another yard called dougs i found a red on black s 5. at this yard there is a great looking pair of s 5 lights. a drivers side vert s 5 light with a 1 inch crack. the carpet in the coupe was m i n t!! not alot left of the interior but if you need black carpet im telling you it was beautiful. it also still had the spoiler. i got the cpu out of it and it worked without any resoldering(finally!!)

i feel like im forgetting something..if i think of it later maybe ill post it. anyways someone please get up on this stuff...i wanted soo bad to get it all but that would mean id have to go out and by another rx7...hmmm...maybe not a bad idea. lol

The only difference in the Coupe and Vert lights, is one of them has a key-hole in it for the trunk (I think the passenger side one) you should have picked it up.

thats what i thought about the lights too until i took it out to my car and compared it the coupe lights have 4 inches more of plastic...i think if you buy them by the pair you can make it work but i dont think they can be mixed and matched. dougs is on powerline close to sample...m&l is right next to the u pull it on 441 around 595.

a ton of pre 90 300 zxs (i have a 90 so i keep my eyes peeled) i even saw some of the older supras (88) and some classic 280 zs, and some classic mustangs. its amazing what people throw away. seriously most of the cars i saw werent wrecked. they looked like something you could put the key in and drive away.

hey ryde or die do you plan on comin down south? or are you wanting me to ship it? because i dont know exactly if they make a box that big. if you have a small list of things that you want i can tell you if they were there today, and then i can go again after we figure out what you want to do. i know all the parts that i saw today but someone might beat me to it next time i go so i dont want to make any promises. as far as price goes like i said he was going to sell the 1 s5 tail light for 25 bucks so im assuming things cant be that expensive. i think they only charge like 30 bucks per a door so i doubt a wing would be too much more, its a u pull it type place. i go, they charge a buck to get on the lot and then i take out what i need, then they guess-timate a price. today i bought a coupe wiper assembly and a bunch of misc black interior pieces, buttons and plastic push screw thingys, they just kinda looked and said 25 bucks for all of it, just to give an example.

let me know what you want to do and ill see if we can work something through.

Hey go get the S5 lights with the center piece. If they said $25 a piece then go for it. I'll give you $100 for it all. We can work something out, either shipping or me picking it up. And just ask about the spoiler, if its a good price let me know how much. I go down south, about halfway to MIA every once in a while. Might just pick the lights up. Let me know...

im in raleigh, NC but if they have the s5 mirrors id love them, ill pay you for the stuff + your time, if ryde doenst want the spoiler id like that to, even the front bumper, ill call UPS in the mourning and see about shipping something that size, again ill pay for the parts shipping and time

YUP. anytime you see s5 tailights(w/lic frame), and spoilers. GRAB THEM. You can quadrupleyour money on eBay.

ok until today i believed that the vert light and coupe light were the same, other than the keyhole, until i too the coupe light out to my vert and sized it up. the vert has a center black piece that is a license plate surround. on each side, if compared to the coupe light, it is covered by the extra 3 or so inches the coupe light has it. what i saw today was comparable to the rear view of this cars lights.

because im not 100% sure about this i want to know if there are parts listings to compare to. because the car i saw already was disassembled from the rear (the cheap one at m&l) from the above picture i can say 99.9% sure that all of the parts were there today and ill get those cheap, if not i an get a coupe set for sure (just unsure what the coupe license plate piece is)

ill check on the tail too.

while im going there noones interested in the black carpet and matching hatch cover complete from the snaps to the speaker cover mount(as stated above it was a little rough in the cardboard part of it) or the steering column cover? or a rubber surround with some scratches around the ashtray lighter area. storage bins were off the car but looked in great shape. the headliner was all complete, including sunroof. the dash was in real good shape no warping by the idiot cluster which still had its surround.

as far as mirrors i saw 1 mirror in the hatch area with a busted corner the other one im not sure, but there is an 88 red vert in the lot with mirrors, but are they the same? they had the hole in the middle but it seemed a bit more squared to my eye was i correct?

i cant beleive noones freaking about this hatch cover.

the cars on the ground they have a section that has a few s4s and the white s5 and a couple of 1st gens.

the carpet will fit in the front but will be a few inches short for the vert. their is an 88 vert at that yard with some dirty gray carpet.

dont know what they charge to buy a whole car this white on has the infamous peeling problem though. as for the quality of the rx-7s here they are usually not in that good of shape just seems like a good month to have checked...just lucky timing i guess. most of the time i only find the stupid maroon interior or ugly blue.

if your headed out there dont flip out on the rx that has a blue sunroof like i did. i forget what color the car is but its not blue, anyways when its a nice cloud free day and i was looking across at these rx7s when it looks like i found a glass sunroof but no its just a blue roof, had to look real good, it fooled me.


i didnt realize how much interest, outside of peple just going there to the yards, that this would stir up. next time im just gonna get all the **** and see who wants what, if i ever stumble on this good of stuff again

alright thanks for the info, i already have dirty grey carpet in my vert, there are some black vert seats on the parts trader and i was going to start changing it over, but PM me with whatever Ryde doesnt buy and ill see about picking it up

alright i went back to the yard and no aero mirrors other than 1 s4 type. they wanted 65 bucks for me to take the spoiler so i did not take it. i did get the center license plate piece that coupe tails need..also can get a good drivers side round tail and a slightly damaged passenger tail but i doubt theres any interest for it.

someones got to want the interior hatch cover...in black, and all of the little parts to make the complete switch. when i had a coupe i looked forever for one.

anyways just wanted to keep those interested up to date.

So the S5 tail lights aren't any good? I have a friend that is interested in the black carpet and everything. How much for it? That price for the spoiler isn't bad really either.

all the black carpet is still in the car but i dont know what it costs..noone seemed interested so i left it alone today. i figuredafter the 65 to buy the spoiler, then shipping and all i stood a good chance of getting stuck with a spoiler that wont go on my vert, so i didnt take the chance.
