so, i have started the rebuild. took out the old engine and threw in the engine in my avatar in the car. decided on a temp paint, krylon full gloss white. in the process im going to actually do the proper steps in a paint job, primer, sand, paint, sand, clear, sand.
ordered new engine and tranny mounts, new halfshaft, got the engine installed, started painting, going to shave the sing and badges, brake light and rear lock.

i hate ac. im getting rid of it. it worked when i bought the car, but i guess youre supposed to put it all back together just before you finish dropping the engine. **** it, its gone, im sick of fighting the damned thing. if anyone wants it local, i wont cut anything and you can have it cheap picked up. anyone want to trade a ps rack for a manual rack?

update:
got the old engine put back in cause i KNOW it will pass smog. got it all primed, primmed and proper. idk how it happened, but i think i flooded the engine. the spark plugs smelled of unburnt gas. used the search button like a veteran would and all symptoms point to flooding. so, im going to try icemarks deflood tomorrow, as well as getting new spark plugs (i love confusing the **** out of parts store people telling them there is no nitro)
ya, its all ready to go, just need to find my breaker for the e-fan. besides that, just need to change out the rear end whenever the stupid halfshaft shows up, add tranny fluid, and i have a DD again!!!!!! i need this done before friday cause i have a flight to go see my fiance in san diego.
oh ya, i deleted the ac, i just wasnt gunna **** with the lines anymore, what a nightmare. here are some pics of the car now.

peace

also, the dumbass dude before me did cut the springs, what an *******. gotta replace my tokico still, then that issue will be fixed.

lol. um, sure. lol. ya, its from the last car. i managed to save the engine long enough (or i should say people kept flaking on me) so i decided to use the other engine to rebuild (as soon as i can find a way to get the front main bolt off as well as the flywheel). its gunna get repainted the chrystal white that the 7's came in. got a lil more work and ill have a DD again. oh, and im gunna update the engine bay a bit.
i REALLY hope to have it looking as good as my last engine bay.
