can you get under the car to see where it could be dripping from?

wow. i thought mine was bad.. but still not terrible. find the coolant leak. fix it all that. check radiator. all the hoses. also the heater core hoses. and throttle body hoses. i know for me. ive had two rx7's and both had heater hoses blow... and an intake hose.. i didnt even know it was a coolant hose till it blew one day.

the interior doesnt look bad. looks like mine but mines blue. even the rip on the seat is same place mine is.. but be happy your side mirrors have glass and your paint is better than mine.

i guess i got lucky with my 7. got it for 700. from out of state.. passed smog and runs good i guess haha.

but good luck with the repairs. keep us posted on progress, i wanna hear a happy ending. haha

So you put a water pump on, and now it leaks coolant. Sounds like your off to a GREAT start.

"did you find out why it was overheating?" oh, and i found out, it has a gnar coolant leak. also the interior looks like crap. the shifter needs a bushing bad. when i put the pedal to the floor it jumps alot. and the rpm gauge is off? it doesnt register at idle speed, and the redline buzzer comes on at like 5g's. so pretty much i have crappiest rx7 around. so i think im gonna sell it or do a swap and make it a project car(suggestions on swaps that arent hella expensive would be appreciated). anyways. here are some pictures of it. and dont call me an idiot because i got ripped off so bad. i traded a car that i bought for 500. and i highly regret it.

dude for $500 what do you expect?!

$500 for a roller with all the stuff still on it is a fine deal. Just put a bunch of work into it and you'll love it.

well the car i traded was worth more than 500 and ran perfectly fine. so thats why i got ripped off. and i got it without the water pump. so the guy obviously thought thats why it was leaking. and i didnt get it for a daily driver. i got it for a project. something i can make fast. so now im probably doing a TII swap

your way of thinking is a bit skewed. Would i trade my perfectly running m3 for a lambo that has issues? sure...cause the value of the car is still worth more. You got an fc because its a sports car. I personally think you got a great deal. I bought my fd that'd been sitting for 14 years, no clue if anything worked for considerably more

You mean a fuel cutoff switch?, thats not stock and is put in by the previous owner to alleviate flooding conditions without getting out of the car.

which usually is caused by leaky injectors, or low compression.

are you sure? because its right by the orange security light and it looks stock. it has 4 arrows. one pointing left, one right, one up, one down. and then a little switch in the middle that goes left or right. definitely looks stock.

That switch is the power mirror adjustment. The arrows are to adjust the direction you tilt the mirror, and the switch switches from the left to right mirror.

Hey if you really want to find your leak check your freeze plugs. And if you want to check your clutch, which has four freeze plugs behind your flywheel. That would also be a good learning experience for you. And if you wanted to learn about your car that would be a good job for you. If you work hard enough you could have it torn apart and all back together within a day or two. If you have anymore questions ask here on the forums someone will more than likely know the answer, and you should stop complaining about your car. All you need to do is put some effort into it and you'll have an AWESOME car. Have fun with it and built it up.

ok. well before i check the freeze plugs, where would it look like its leaking from? cuz while its leaking and i look under the car, it looks like its coming from the front of the engine. im just gonna check all the hoses tomorrow. but i really dont wanna take it back apart.. but i kind of have to take it apart to fix it, or swap it. oh well. thanks for the suggestion. oh, and like i said, im pretty new to cars, where is the flywheel(since you said the plugs are behind it) but the clutch and tranny only have like 2500 miles on them. so i dont need to check the clutch, it feels perfect too.
