the guy 'forgot" to tell me about the existing problems. but anyways. what do you think i could get for this car? i wanna do a swap, but TIIs are pretty cheap here.(there is one for 600 with a good motor on craigslist) and i can get a built one for 2500-3500. so im thinking about sellin this and putting it towards a TII. so what do you think a decent asking price is for this?

Well if you have a leak in the front there is one plug that i know of behind the e-shaft censure(i know its not called that but having a brain fart atm) it should be behind your p/s on the block. Luckily I do not have p/s and mine is somewhat easier to access. Good Luck with your goings! But Great Deal on your part.

Edit: To answer your last question: I wouldn't sell that car just yet. It has so much potential. Before you go for a TII learn first on this car, its perfect for you to learn the works.

may I ask what kinda car did you trade for the 7? I say just use this as a learning experience & take the car build it right & never look back. I'm sure you will be happy in the end.

p/s is power steering. It is on your right side when looking at engine bay from front of the car.

You should be able to see dried coolant on the block draining from the plug. or even if it is bad enough you should see a drip from it. If I had a better camera I'd take a pic of mine since it is leaking but I don't. I'll try to get a pic up later tommorrow. But its late here so If you have anymore questions about the front freeze plug/Anything else, just send a private message or post here on the forum. Like I said before there are many people on this forum that know there stuff, and I have to say I'm still learning each and every day.

i just looked for the freeze flug, and i couldnt find anything close, but the motor smells like coolant. so maybe you could be right. but it looks like it might drip from the front of the block, would that make sense if the freeze plug was bad? i always like to find the things that definitely arent wrong first. but tomorrow after school, im taking the fan and all that out and checking the radiator. unless anyone knows a quicker way?

that all sounds good just be careful with the sensor on the bottom of the radiator sometimes they do not like to come off very easily. Have you looked at your car from the bottom yet? sometimes that's easier to find stuff.

I'd agree but I'm assuming he needs a car that can actually drive and if he's feeling ripped off bout this car, I'm assuming budget for tools wasn't really in the plan. I could be wrong. I bought my project not knowing a thing bout fds..

Before you think of doing a swap learn the motor and how it works then move ahead from there. I can tell you with an s4 or s5 n/a they pull pretty good when you get them running good if it is not already. Put some time into your car and learn it, dont just go running for big power and not know what your getting into.
