I am thinking about buying a 1990 mazda rx 7 gtu

i am thinking about buying a 1990 Mazda RX7 GTU, but the main issue i am concerned with is the gas mileage. can you guys give me some feedback and tell me what i should do?

if your main concern is gas mileage. sorry to say it this is not the car for you. If you want a fun car to drive then yes.

from what i understand, mileage isn't bad, but it is near what's to be expected in newer cars, somewhere around 19mpg. btw, where are you in PA?

Most of your information will be in the FAQ section located in the 2nd gen specific category. The mileage is also listed in there. I believe city is 18mpg and 23mpg highway? Don't forget that mileage is dependant on your driving habits, and chances are your gonna be matting the pedal to the floor all the time. So lets make that 10mpg city . In all honesty, in my t2 when i'm under boost, I swear I can see the gas gauge going down slowly after a hard pull. If you are **** about spending money on gas then this isn't the car for you. To answer your question newer cars have way better mileage, but the sacrifice is a gay unfun (is that a word?) car. This is excluding the rx8, they have about the same mileage, if not a little bit more.

Hey...I consider 25mpg on the fwy great for an FC...especially a modded one running a microtech...daily driven too!

buy the gtu then cry about money wasted on gas when u sleep, thats what i do. i feel better in the morning
