i like to think of the US drifting scene kinda like modern rat rods. they take pride in the shitty poor look. make em look more "baller" if they don't try to look good traditionally and be all different and "counter-culture". kinda like emos....also its cool to look poor nowdays. rich people are nerds, right?
honestly I like a little of that look (deep wheels, uncommon accessories and body kits, etc), and i use some in my own way, but that 240 is just terrible. At least my 240 was pretty clean AND fast. I couldnt drift it well though, Im pretty sure I just don't care enough to dedicate all my time and money into being a super FD/D1/Etc star. I wouldnt give two ***** about what any drift head thinks. In case you are wondering-
WAYS TO SPOT TOTALITY "GANGSTER" PRESUMPTUOUS DRIFT CHILD:
1. Always sarcastic. You aren't cool and confident unless you are sarcastic.
2. Always fully pronounces standard Ebonics slang. Maybe a new language?
3. Make the shortest, most useless posts on any forum. Ever.
4. Overzealous with "function over form"
5. If they actually are photographed, always has random, vaguely engrish, banner on windshield. You know what I mean.
6. Usually pretty rude and unhelpful. Like James Dean or something?
7. Tends to look up to the one and only decent drifter in their cliques. Hes what they call "the best you ever heard"
8. Has said "fail." on the internet more than 1,000 times.
9. Usually quite familiar with internet memes.
10. 75% are on Ziptied.
Feel free to add.
Don't blame them though. The whole sport is based off of some form of style. Hate the game, not the players.

as long as the owners dont become cocky then i have no problem with em. Ive just known a few to become cocky and they stick to groups like em.
just dont think its a good idea to make ur car look like crap, no matter how hardcore it may look or impress others who are into it
just makes it harder for others to not get stereotyped as well, and creates police profiling.

sorry i dont mean to use ur picturess (if the owner is here) but come on dude, once you get older/mature, you will realize how horrible/silly that looks.
240sx is a great car, id love to have another one someday, great aftermarket support. its just there are a few examples that do not look soo nice and people start to stereotype the overall cars *like alot of members on this forum dislike 240s*

that picture is awesome rotor!
theres no need to hate on the risky devil guys, i like their style! they seem like cool guys who drive their ****! These guys embrace all kinds of cars and driving, not hate like the majority.
El nene your 7 is sick, obviously the guys on that site are lacking in some area. thats cool you like drag drift and auto x its even cooler that you do all 3 with one car.
I myself have a 240 and a 7. i like them both but for totally different reasons. They will both be built for track and street driving because thats how i like them.

He tried to hard to make his car look like that.
If you're going to have a paintjob like that, why run a hacked front end and any other color ziptie but black and trimmed? It could be a nice car. if you changed 3 things about it. Maybe four. The paint reminds me of a beta fish and flat black does not flow with beta fish....lol.
That car screams "I'm a flammer", "I'm trying too hard" or "pull me over".
Why do some people try so hard to mimick tacky boso drift style so much? How can you call that "My car" and be proud of it?

Paintjob? No paintjob...thats all vinyl my friend lol. its like colorful 3M bra all over the car that probably cost nearly as much as a nice clean paintjob....those big vinyl rolls are pretty expensive.

camberlicious...
i like 240s a lot... its just some of the people out there are hacking up the only good 240s that are left. I want to own one someday also, but by the time i will find one, most of them will be hacked up and beat up already... If you respect your car not matter how much you track it, you still gonna take car of it. Take a little effort and clean it up for god sakes.

yeah if you cant afford a paint job and want to look dope as hell with your aero, Vinyl ftw! ANgry Earl knows whats best!!! i was thinking of vinylin my car, instead of respraying it because paint is expensive.http://stores.ebay.com/Paper-Street-Plastics
The link is from Vrt forums , a member from east coat posted..$100 plenty enough for a whole car...

I couldnt drift it well though, Im pretty sure I just don't care enough to dedicate all my time and money into being a super FD/D1/Etc star. I wouldnt give two ***** about what any drift head thinks.
