I am not "BALLER" enough for a local drift forum ! lol MUST SEE PIC INSIDE
It is sad, "drifting" is nothing more than a current fad. The media (you know what movie I'm talking about) encourage a certain group of slow and timid dipshit teenagers into driving aggressively on the street endangering others, themselves, and their used-to-be-decent cars.
I'm not saying it's everyone, and I'm not saying drifting or racing off the track is dangerous. There are safe conditions, and there are unsafe conditions. I normally get pissed off far too easily when I see people being unsafe simply because it's popular right now.
It's part of the reason I sold my first car (S13 Coupe) and stopped trying to drift. It's a stupid scene. Sometimes sliding is fun, I really enjoy it. BUT I don't "live to drift," "slide it like I stole it," or "live life one hairpin at a time."
I do what I like. I don't do what's popular. I LOVE grip racing (Yakima has some awesome touge). There are more 240's around here than I care to see, nearly all of them are pieces of ****. I think I've seen one clean one for every 10 shitty ones.
They give Silvias a bad name.

I agree, more camber in the front and less in the rear on a car with struts and multi-link = oversteer. I would think the reduced contact patch of the rear tires running 3*+ of camber makes the car easier to power-oversteer with, with the front being even more negative to offset the rear (can be seen in the pic). Now, more power and more driving experience can probably reduce or eliminate the need for such an alignment but drift events and turbos are expensive for some people.
Lol, i heard of american 240 owners being complete idiots and are just in the "drift" scene becuase of tokyo drift, but i didnt think it was true.
Im with jmkogut, and everything he said lol
I would take your red rx7 anyday over that, "probably rotted out" 240sx that looks like it has broken control arms lol,
kids these days...

I used to like drifting a couple years ago, then the whole 'ZOMG my car looks like a piece of **** on purpose cuz I'm such a doriftor' thing caught on and then it just got to the point that the actual sport was overshadowed by the 'Zomg sydwaiz 4 lyfe' mentality. So now here we are, when people who own cars that are 4 different colors and held together with zip-ties think they can talk **** to people with clean well-built cars and JDM door handles are more sought after that turbo kits. I think it'll all blow over eventually, until then we'll just have to suffer through it.

**** i traded it for a eurospec 16v 190e which was a pretty sweet car too, 185hp 4 cylinder 4door 5spd rwd benz which handled good... but i started missing the tuning game so i traded it for the rx7 i have now.. and often kick myself for getting rid of that car..
so yeah, miss my s13 2001 to 2006 all the money and experience i learned, miss my benz that i had for majority of 07 but that benz allowed me to go everywhere and no worries*allowed me to have a social night life *, many nights driving out to go clubbin in hollywood etc.., but i wouldnt have the fc if i didnt trade those.

Some kid owns it now, and i guess he converted it to RHD and was gonna make it for drag racing or something lol
I wouldnt mind getting another one if theft wasnt such an issue

moar neg camber in front , more steering imput /response, but less tire smoke=less tire contact patch and more inner tire wear. win-loose situation.. [yes you can get tire smoke in the front ,if you can enter fast enough] so kinda have to take it to consideration , not too much camber, yet not too little..depends on how your cars setup for the track, and the driftr.. I personally love shizz load of steering response, lets me initiate easier, but I just hate how it wears out the inner tire so fast and the outside of the tires are practicaly still new lol. so kinda dont want to setup too much camber since im a budget type..
Miss those old days where my t2 ran like gold.. Took that engine for granted... now i keep having engine problems leftand right..cant even drift anymore cause of that. Cant wait till my engine works right again.

From: We're all fine here now, thank you. How are you?
I blame down syndrome.
Hypertek: That 180sx was sick. Love it. The 5zigens looked good on it as did the kouki tails and spoiler. Very nice car. Just what i'd expect from you.
I'm waiting for the risky devil squad to chime in as well.
Really though, this is a local forum giving you ****? Go to one of their meets and show em up. Seriously.

MAN, I can't believe how caught up people get into material possesions. I love my car and wish I had the money to race every weekend BUT there are so many other IMPORTANT things in my life that if ANYONE who calls me out on the "stature" of my FC can EAT A FAT DICK. Don't give those ****** the time of day.

Completely wrong. That camber is way past the point where the tire will flatten out in a turn. That car is going to handle like **** and understeer hard.

The only reason you would get smoke from the front tires is understeer, to much braking or your tire is rubbing on ****.
Camber depends on suspension geometry, suspension stiffness and ride height. You want the tire to flatten out when turning. I see all too often "drifters" with way too much camber in the front and this only hurts handling, braking and your tires. Having your front LCA's pointing up and away from the crossmember means that the front will lose a lot of camber as load is places on your suspension.

Front tires will only smoke if the 3 things I listed above occur. Tires just don't magically burn up because you're driving fast.
Edit: You could also add poor Ackerman Angle to that list.

all i have to say is 240's are super overused and overated like a *****..... out of all the 20 people i drift or touge with 12 have 240's and they bag on me and my three other fc brothers in the group about how are sevens keep having issues when they are the ones always switching up body parts and fixing welded diffs and **** like that. seriously though, the people that are starting to hang with us are only going touge and drifting because its the "cool thing to do". i do touge and drifting because i love to do it and i want to tune my seven and be able to push it and kick those 240's asses on the street or on the track.
