true but if he never sold that car it would have never been on the freeway that day he sold it to get hit by that drunk driver, who was driving a stolen vehicle...
everyone told him not to sell it because he built that car with his heart but he did. in fact the guy who bought it from him still owes him 500 for the rest of the payment of the car. he keeps avoiding us even though we know his friends and know where he lives, he still wont fork over any money nor find a job.

I have to agree with most replies....
and sadly...it is definitely REGIONAL...like the guy from the midwest said...your car is a 7K car. You would NEVER...get that price here in So Cal.
I would agree the car looks clean and I would price it at $4500 maybe higher, 47, 48. Cracking 5K you should take the money and run.
If you have time on your side...then be patient. The "right" buyer will come if you wait long enough.
Short side story...my buddy had a nice bone stock T2, 1990, you know the deal, super clean, RB exh and wheels thats it. Just super super clean. He wanted 8k for the car. I know..smoking crack right? Plus he was leaving LA for work so he knew he had to sell it fairly soon...but he held out...held out...and one day, an OLDER/Mature dude came in...gave him $7500...done. I was shocked. So...if you can hang on...someone really looking for that car will find u.
