How much for a full straight pipe exhaust from a muffler shop?

Roughly?

Turns out i'm not getting the apexi i wanted and still want something retarded loud but on the cheap.

How much you figure a muffler shop would charge me to do a full straight pipe from the manifold back?

I'm going to do a straight boso style exit. 1 4" exit extended 5" past the bumper and right next to it, a 2.5" exit 3" past the bumper.

Dont knock my taste, just add input and help me get this done.

They won't do it without a cat, unless you go to a shop in the ghetto or something. And why? you'll be sick of it in a week.

Ok fine, ignore the last part. But really, most shops won't do a full straight pipe without a cat, you'll need to go somewhere shady to have it done.

The super ghetto alternative would be:

clamped in straight pipe, sawzall exhaust at y split and weld in a plate now making a single exit to the back, weld a new y just after the 29 dollar cherrybomb turbo muffler and add rediculous 5 inch next to each otherness. Would be loud as **** and cheap.

sell your cat at a scrap yard and use that money to buy a buddy with a welder beer, and mod your stock exhaust. That is assuming you know some one who can kinda weld and doesnt have access to a bender and the time to do a full exhaust.

I got the front 2 cats deleted for about $25 so i'm assuming a pipe all the way back should not be more than $50-60 if you do not add a muffler. I'd get a cheap ebay one before driving around with out one since I have one cat going into a single can and it's really loud. I can't wait till I find a job so I can go back to duals and cut the noise down a bit.

So why not buy the piping from a muffler shop, have them bend it, take it to your friends house and weld it together? They only charge like 20$ for 6ft of pipe...

I understand the lazyness. I have been stuck in one of those for a few months now.

Did you ever find the look you wanted w/ 16in wheels?

Good to see people still using sub17s.

good luck with the exhaust, motivation will come with the east coast weather swang.......

If you were local I know some places.
Another thing to keep in mind is material used. Flanges etc that will drive the price up.

I would estimate closer to 100$ or more. Plus getting all the right angles and exhaust hangers could raise pricing even more.

I had an old Nissan NX that was straightpiped without cat and it cost me $220 for everything. That's here in MT, don't know what it would be in your area. Call and ask around. If anything, they'll keep the cat in, then have one of your friends put a pipe in instead.

I'm thinking about making my own exhaust instead of paying $400 for a brand name one.

Yeah, i know. Remember i pm'd you about it and you sold it! BAHHHHHH!

I was supposed to get an apexi GT for $150 plus my stocker. That didn't work out. I can still grab it up but idk if there will be a time when we are able to make it happen.

Lets see. Yeah, i think i'll buy a cheap *** ebay "titanium" muffler with the burnt straight tip. Those are classy. I'm sure the packing will burn out in no time but who cares? Really? I dont.

I'll make a few phone calls and ask around. Keep the input comming though. I know not all of you buy your **** directly from companies and have stuff fabricated at random either by yourself or someone else. Dont be afraid of the haters. Come out and say what you have to say.

Not really. I dunno if i want to go gp or uras with spacers. Either case i'm looking into f/r overfenders. Reason being, my fronts stick out 2" and my passenger 1/4 is fucked and i'm too lazy to do anything but roll it so i can go lower atm. Trust me, when i get overs, i'm cutting the living **** out of the stock 1/4's.

I still dont know if i want gp or not. I mean, i know i can pull that off with my sportmaxes but i do like the snowplow. Some spacers would help that. As long as the rim is flush with the flare of the skirts/bumper i should be fine. If the sportmaxes dont do it, i'll sell them and buy some 15x10 eagle alloys and stretch some 205/55/15's on em.

I'm at the point now where i dont give a **** what anyone says about my style or says it's crap or whatever. I just want to do my own thing. You know? Even though it's not my own thing. Locally, NOBODY...I repeat, NOBODY is doing this ****. For some reason i'm attracted to this style. All the clean car nut swingers and stock look nutswingers can take it for what they will. I got my rx7 specifically to have a car that wasn't run of the mills. Now that i've seen between 7 or 8 fc's in what i call "my area" besides the two i own, i want something that's so different from theirs it isn't even funny. I'm sure people will laugh but i'm into the framerail polished, jdm ae86/240sx drift look. Yeah, i'm down for drifting but i didn't get into this style until a few months ago. I want to rock some ssr kreis or fabulous profounds later down the line but for now, small diameter/wide rims are my cup of tea b/c i dont have $2k+ to drop on some baller deep dish negative offset rims from the land of the rising sun.
