I have an easy solution for you, get a Hella Headlamp Conversion Kit. Link : click here Then just buy an HID kit and pop them in like modern cars. The Headlamp used HB2 (aka H4) bulbs.

stock headlights are the housing and bulb all in one to do an HID upgrade you have to buy the an aftermarket headlght housing, then buy a HID kit and install into the housing and you should be good to go

I converted the H7 projectors in my DD to HID... WELL worth it. If you get some decent sealed beam conversions, not the $10 ebay ones, more like hella or something, you should be good with HID in them.

I replaced my bulbs with some Sylvania Silverstars, they're pretty bright. Picked them up at my local Autozone for 50$ total.
