Grassroots Motorsports 2nd gen buyers guide.

We just posted a 2nd gen buyers guide on our website and my first gen will be the Dec issue as well.

Here is the link and below is what will be in the Dec. issue. http://grassrootsmotorsports.com/articles/lucky-7/

Hopefully the mods won't delete this since I work for the magazine. Look at my sig and my post count I am not a troll.

My 1984 RX-7 is featured in this the Dec Grassroots Motorsports Magazine which should hit shelves Nov 18th. It features a faces off of my modified 84 RX-7 vs. my boss's modified Datsun 240Z. You can pick up the magazine at any Barnes and Noble or Borders or just call in and ask for Greg. Subscriptions are $19.95 for a year and I will mail this first one out to you if you say you are from the RX-7 club. I also attached a low res photo from the test day of my car.

The other top stories featured will be:

- Budget Supercars: How to buy a Ferrari, Porsche or Corvette for less than a new Accord.

- 25 People Who Defined the Last 25 Years: The December issue kicks off our 25th year of publishing GRM. We're starting the celebration by picking the 25 standout personal achievements that shaped our motorsports world.

- Nissan GT-R: Hold on tight, we're testing Nissan's new supercar.

-Starting a Rebuilt Engine: How to bring your rebuilt engine back to life the right way.

-Project Cars: BMW 335i, Spec E30 and Dodge Neon ACR

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks guys,

Greg

Great article! Nice to see some POSITIVE reviews on the rotary and some encouragement for people to not be timid when crossing over to a rotary powered sports car.

great article

Tremblay recommends no rear anti-roll bar except on very tight tracks, where the factory rear bar can be retained.
nice, thats been very debatable

how come the article says original from 04? is it new or just recently added to the site?

Oh, now you post that article after I was searching frantically for it before I bought my GXL! Thanks a lot.

Anyways, very good article, and I'll see you on the GRM boards!

I've read the magazine the two times I've managed to get my hand on it, and loved it. I requested the free one time issue a few months ago, and never got it. So, I requested it again the next month and never got that one either... Does it just take a while to process? Like do I have 5 free issues of GRM on the way? Lol...

Thanks again for the comments.

BigPimpin' - Hows it going? Are you out of the first gen game again? Any V8s RX-7s running around? I have a worn GSL-SE I might be putting a 5.0 in.

ArtOfRuin - Yeah we have a backlog of stuff that gets posted. We try to post a new one every couple of weeks or so. Good luck with the RX-7. The Impreza should be dead reliable. My girlfriend has a 2000 Wagon that we rallycross.

Savedro88 - As for the trial issues. Those get put into our database and shipped out with the following issue. There are a couple of possibilities as to what has happened

- the card gets lost in the mail
- the handwriting on the car is illegible
- the card looks "suspicious" (we get a lot of people signing up other people who then call us and complain about the magazine they are receiving)
- we have your name or address in the system as having ordered the magazine and never paid.

What many people do not realize is that we are independent publishers who put out a combined 14 magazines a year. 8 Grassroots and 6 Classic. We have a total staff of 14 full time people. If you call the office chances are that either I, Nancy or Tom will answer the phone. We have excellent and immediate customer service for our subscribers, if you tell us an issue never arrived we mail one out no questions asked usually with stickers in the package, however we do make a note of that in the system for future reference.

If there are any questions just email greg@grassrootsmotorsports.com me or give us a call.

Thanks,

Greg

^im sad now that im not going to get the dec issue till i get back from the carribean in jan. and it makes me miss my fc also...

its a great magazine and one of the few that i do subscribe to. always anticapate every issue and read it multiple times.

maby you could answer a question about your publication schedule, why isnt i published on a monthly or bi-monthly basis??

Well the magazine basically comes out every six weeks. We were bimonthly then moved it up to 8 per year. We also publish Classic Motorsports so we publish 14 magazines a year or one every three weeks. We only have about 14 full time people and are pretty much at capacity.

Another reason is so we can attend shows and events around the country during the spring summer and fall months then during the cold months we put out the two extra magazines.
