Goodbye after 2 weeks :'(
Thats and easy repair. Get used parts from a salvage yard. Worst case scenario control arm and tire rod are bent. Just get the whole Control arm/hub asembly with a shock and strut. You can fix the body later. With used parts that fix is EASILY less than $500 with no paint.
i think your noobness is ruining a very important fact
this car is a GTUs do a google search if you dont know what that means. that little "s" makes a world of difference.
you need to make 100% sure that you get it back and get it restored. find some proper GTUs wheels on it and love it knowing that you have a pretty rare and sought after model of the fc. and if you ever decide you dont want it then get in touch with me

Okay well now I know this! I'm doing all in my power to keep this car. But please don't use the word noobness, I prefer amateurness because I'm doing all I can to learn stuff here it's not like I'm claiming to know alot :P
Why are so many people against taking the money?
How much would buy-back be? It can't be more than a few hundred. So you total it, buy it back, come out with some cash, enough to fix it yourself and buy another car.
So that makes it a salvage. Big deal. Were you gonna try and sell it for profit later?

You might think it's no big deal but many- myself included- do.
I won't touch a car without a clean, legit regular title...too many horror stories and hassles involved, just not worth it.
That car looks way too clean to sacrifice as a track dog.
Find a beat up base model if that's what you plan on doing.

It doesn't have a wing, has the wrong rims, and the wrong mirrors. It also doesn't have the fender stickers. Chances are it's just a normal '90 GTU, nothing special. Unless the door panel says it should have 16" rims then this is NOT a GTUs.
You Noob! Hahahahaha. Get this car going again.
just means the prior owner had bad/horrible taste in mods, mid 1990's style aftermarket wheels look very dated today and stickers, and threw the wrong mirrors on. blue painted calipers on a red car? . but anyways that non-sunroof is pretty cool i havent seen too many FCs like that, if thats what determines that it might be a GTUs? But otherwise still looks like a car with potential, just replace the parts, remove the decals and a more tasteful changes should be good.

This is very true, I had this happen on a 240sx I had, which is where I got the money to rebuild my 13bt. Guy plowed into me while I was turning left and hit the rear quarter.
Bought Originally for $2550. Totaled 1990 240sx they paid me about $2500 or so, then I paid like $300 to get the car back. Had it inspected and got it titled. Another funny thing I ended selling it to a friend with the damage for $1000 cause I thought the title was salvage, turns out its not? Why, I dunno? Insurance Total is different than Frame Damage Totaled? The Car actually drove fine, it was just body damage.
Best of luck and sorry for your ride...
