Thumbs up Found a nice suprise! (original documents!)

I was going through my recently bought FC the other day and lo, what did I find? A bunch of original documents, sales receipts, option price lists and everything for the car off the dealer floor! I was pretty ecstatic about this as I have never owned a car that still had this paperwork, not to mention considering the age of the car. So listed below are a few pictures for viewing pleasure.

All the goods:

RX-7 10 minute maintenance course:

Cooling and Oil maintenance:

Certificate of maintenance instruction completion:

Original Dealer Receipt!

Leather seats were an $850.00 option! DAMN

Total Delivered Price:

Paid for in '88!

That's pretty cool! Although, it's also sad to see that our cars are now 1/10th the value they started with :/ well, depending what you buy.

Yea. Well, I shelled out 4k for mine with only 56k miles. The plus side to seeing these papers is I can verify the mileage.

Sweet!! I've got an '83 that I picked up that's probably comparable to your car milage/document wise. Sounds like you've got a real gem!

wow nice, every used car I have had has never had the manual or documents in it... Do people like to take them and throw them away? My family always leaves them in the glove box in the car.

The first thing yo need to do is have the original window sticker laminated at your local Staples/Home Depot to preserve it. Always a fun think to have on display at car meets, but you don't want to damage or even accidentially destroy it in the process. That is the jewel in all that unique to your car.

To be honest, the rest of the stuff you show can be found on Ebay all the time since it's generic to what ever year RX7 you have. That said, congrats on the bonus value you found with your car.

It would be pretty neat to have the window sticker. However, it is interesting to see that the first owner was a goddamn BALLER. He paid the car off in cash off the showroom floor!

holy crap yours was 20 grand?!

I still have my window sticker it shows 17,000 out the door, the 2+2 option was 500.

then again mine was an 86 base model with sunroof, a/c 2+2, manual doors/locks/steering 4-lug

I'm in the same boat as HyperTek. I have never owned a car that had this much documentation; it's nice to finally see something like this.

the mazda way "an intense commitment to your total satisfaction"
must of came up with it in the RnB era

to...

zoom zoom bitch!
