you've been seeing this? on what?

i dont think it can be done on our cars. aren't our belts lined on the inside with some weird rubber teeth stuff to stay in the pulley? sounds like a disaster waiting to happen if you flip it inside out.

The backside wouldn't even fit in the pulley groove. I've never heard of anyone doing this in any car and it makes no sense whatsoever.

Some belts are smooth on the outside and some sort of actually do look like they are flipped inside out... Just depends what you get.

I think this goes along with dumping sand into your intake to port and polish.

If it's happening It's probably a pulley alignment issue or one of them is eaten up a bit.

I flip my belts ALL THE TIME... of course none of my engines ever last more than 15 minutes after start up.. but I am sure that is totally unrelated.

thats just the style of belt, some are smooth and some have those ribs, he didnt flip them inside out . You can even make out the writing on the belts.

the belts are a v design so they sit in the pulleys

those belts are oriented in the normal position, what you might call "right side out", also known as the only way a v belt works. Don't get your panties in a bunch, it was a silly question and we were having some fun with it.

Yup sorry homie but those belts are indeed in the correct position and NOT flipped upside down. I mean at least you asked first before doing it... that shows some intelligence believe it or not.
