First day driving the RX7 in snow.
General Altimax Arctics.
They are a competitively priced, well-respected studdable ice/snow tire carrying the Severe Snow Service certification. They are actually a re-badged Gislaved NordFrost 3's (German-made Swedish-designed winter tire).
S4's had clutch-type LSDs... S5's were all Viscous. Yes, more people prefer the clutch-type as they seem to hold up a bit longer.
My S4 GXL is an absolute tank in the snow. Zero problems.

my car has been awesome in the snow since I posted this, I moved back home to sudbury and we have snow banks taller than my rx7. I cant see pulling out of my driveway or parking lots and I have never been stuck or had problems. I also drove 320kms in a massive snow storm and I averaged 90kmph and never felt unstable.
