Fender flared verts ?
Need to cover a huge dent on drivers side panel where the gas flap would be but obviously opposite side.
looking to cover it for awhile until i have enough to fix it professionally (not crappy bondo)
looking at ones like from mazda trix but would like to see some pictures of verts with any flares first

You should post a picture of the dent. I do body work and i wouldnt suggest cutting and welding a patch in its hard to get a good amount of corrosion protection on the backside of the quarter and then you would have more of a problem with rust. And you shouldnt knock body filler if its done right its good quality stuff. And from the factory some cars have bodyfiller already there. With the use of a stud gun theres no reason to have to get to the backside with a hammer to push it out.

i would say to invest your time and money into fixing the dent. You said you have someone who can paint the flares why cant he help you with the dent? What about rims and tires? You cant have flared without a wider set up.
Its just my opinion- but unless you have some horsepower to back up flares and the wide wheels the car will seem silly.

^Totally agree. As a fellow convertible owner, I think there's something awesome to be had in owning a stock bodied vert vs a flared one. Of course, the wheels are the icing on the cake. I'll let my photos do the talking.
