okay so i found a set of 5 zigen rims black with chrome lip.. i have a 1.0 drop front and back from some s tech tein springs and tokico blues

specs are:
17x8 front

my question is will they fit without any spacers or any type of fender rolling or tire tuck?? if i do need spacers what size for front and rear???

Spacers make it wider...

Get em + test fit + tire stretch if necessary/or roll the fenders = you happy

What's the front offset? If it's +43 then it wont fit. Read this: http://fc3spro.com/TECH/MODS/RT/rims.htm

5zigen didnt make good offsets for the typhoons. I dont know if they make those anymore.

A 10-15mm spacer on front and back is typically the cure for all wheels lol

If they fit, they will look like poo. I'm running the same widths on my car, but in 17x8 +5 and 17x9 -3, just to give you some reference.

true that. i had 17x7.5 in the front with +41 offset and I needed a 5mm spacer to make it clear.

How did that sit puhpaper? Oddly enough I've got a set of 5zigen typhoons in 17x7.5 +40, and have always wondered how they'd sit in the front.

are yours mounted??? any pictures??

when i first bought the car it had 89 supra rims and they were wide and fat... but it was before i dropped the car

now i have some R-1 type R6 17x7 off set 40 all around with only 5mm spacers in the front and they fit perfect no rubbing

so what size spacer do you recommend in the front?? i only got one shot at buying a size and dont want to end up getting two sets

When they were on my car(s):

On my coupe:

On my vert:

17x7.5 in the front with +41 offset
17x8.5 in the rear with +38 offset

riding under stock fenders, no rolling, no flaring - but i did need a 5mm spacer in the front, because that's still really close even with coilovers.

the front will now fir man... my ssr's in the front are 17x8.5 +35, barely was enough space. +43 in the rear is kinda close too?

i'm running 18x10 +25 they fit pretty flush.

oh yeah, i think this thread is in the wrong section... there is a whole wheel and tire section for these type of questions.

Ok,

A 1/4"(6mm) spacer is more than likely not going to be enough, all you can do is a test fit. While some guys have pulled it off, I can't guarantee you won't run into problems.

To play it safe (if your running the stock style suspension), I would run a 1/2"(13mm) or thicker spacer. Also, keep in mind if you run a slip on spacer thicker than 1/4" or so, you will need longer wheel studs.

I'm talking about the front here, while you won't have to run a spacer in the rear, I would also run some back there anyways.

okay thanks

will buy some adapters with longer studs in the front and spacers for the rear... but will definitely test fit first
