I can not believe you got Ohlins for $500. You should go play the lottery!
Good information in here. Don't go cheap on something like coilovers. People underestimate the value of a good coilover and if you're already getting close to the $1k mark, spend a little extra and get something worth while.
Buying cheap twice (or more) is a lot more expensive than buying proper once!

I'm rocking ohlins with full delrin suspension bushings and poly urethane motor/tranny/subframe bushings etc.
Before I blew my motor and it went under the knife (and still there)... It was awesome. I bought them used for $500 bucks. They are simply awesome. I sent them out to get them rebuilt and bought some used megan racing ones to hold me over until they got back.... um can you say crap! Seriously though, if you want the best bang for your buck, scoure the internet, ebay and forums for someone selling a used set. You can often get $1500-3000 coilovers for 600-1000 bucks noooo problem. And those good kind last for-ev-er... The used ones I bought were used in an FC race car for well over 3 years and I had them for another 3 before they had to be rebuilt.... so, take it from me... its a much better options
and as an added bonus, you won't have to defend your coilovers everytime someone asks you "Why did you buys such cheap coilovers?"

they sell ohlins for the FC? I thought they only sold them for the FD? I wonder if I can track some down, ohlins would be great for my FC.
