You guys take girls out in FC's? Dont you have quiet, comfy, 4 door SUV daily drivers like normal people?
I wouldnt roll up to girls house with a loud *** FC.
Youd be doing so well after knocking on her door, giving her the roses, little kiss on the cheek. Then you hop into your POS FC thats now flooded and wont start. "******* SCRUB" is all shell ever think of you.
As you get older you learn that first impressions DO matter. I would never go to a job interview/date/open house with my 7.
Although when I buy that FD.........................................

The couple times I driven my FC, a ok condition '91 brave blue mica, around town no one has really come up to me but people do stare or dog me. I have no idea why. As for taking girls on a date I would rather swap cars with other friends of mine that I trust with my 7, than take it on a first date or something of that sort.

Hey...Cut it out!

Your age: 28
Your car (model year, trim level, color): 1987 GXL, White
Your mods that people would notice (briefly), especially exterior:
RB exhaust, catless
FD wheels/tires on 20mm spacers
Ground Control/KYB suspension
Bondo on driver's side rear quarter panel (previous owner's fault)
Dents on driver's side fender (UPS Truck hit it while parked)
In-progress 20B-REW conversion
Answer to the question including age and description of females you are discussing:
For the most part, no girls want to ride in my car thanks to an exhaust leak courtesy of the previous owner's brilliant (read: ghetto) cat delete job. Of course, that's getting axed as soon as I get the engine wiring done.
My niece is scared shitless of it b/c she's used to lame-*** suzie-homemaker ecoboxes like her mom's camry. Thankfully, my girlfriend is into cars since she was brought up in a Ford family. Her grandpa worked in a Ford factory, so she knows and appreciates how much hard work it takes to build a nice car. Mostly into classic mustangs, her favorite being late 60s K-code fastbacks, but I showed her my FC and she loved it.
Now all I gotta do is convince her that a fastback is just as useful as the Ford Escape she's eyeing. Once the 20B conversion is done, she's gonna be BEGGING to get one too.

i DID flood the T2 on a couple of dates, but its super easy to reach under and unplug the circuit opening relay, while you're cranking.
actually i used to have a CYM FD, and i thought it was cool, but its not. i had no IDEA it wasn't cool until i bought the Tr3. i've had people get out of cars at lights, to ride for a couple of blocks, in the Tr3. I drove it for coffee the other day, and when i got back someone was taking pictures of it. nothing like that ever happened with the FD.

This thread is always amusing. FCs pull a lot of guys, always. Once or twice I've had to really go out of my way to tell people that I do not want their phone number nor do I want to give them mine. But I won't say that the attention while out on the road isn't a good thing Reminds me why I don't go to the Chino Hills meet anymore (old creeper white dude...)

car: 1987 turbo swap, blue
mods people would notice, briefly, especially exterior:
Emissions delete
Cat delete
Greddy PE exhaust, on there kinda crooked from mismatched exhaust parts
No name wheels, eagle I think? Nice 5 spoke alloys though
spray painted black turbo hood
really bad first timer paint job, looks good afar and at 90mph though.
Nice gauge setup inisde....
Chicks that would be there to like or not like it:
My girlfiend LOVES it when it's running and absolutely HATES it when I have to borrow her car to get it running again. But beyond her I get looks from dudes only. Everyone thinks its a 240sx....

Age: 23
Car: S4 TII
Mods: Stock exterior with a missing wing and ugly mirrors with holes in them. Working on whats under the hood. I drove it onto the ramp truck, off the ramp truck, and pulled one donut in it to turn it around. Now it's parked till perfect.
Girlfriend met me right after I bought my dream car. I showed her how it works, and now she wants to eventually buy either an rx7 or a REPU (her first choice, but rare). Smart girls are attracted to things that are different.
