Did anyone else see the RX-7 Convertible "Limited Edition Showcar" on e-bizzle?

Check out the badassed-ness of this ride

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWAX%3AIT

I couldn't resist asking the seller a question, so here is what I said:

Do you have any pitures of the engine bay? I would like to see this limited-edtion 6 cylinder engine. All RX-7's ever made came with rotary engines, which don't have cylinders. It's kind of the whole point of the car....

- nitronatefc

And I got a promising response today:

Dear nitronatefc,

sure, i will have to get my friends digital cam again and take pics. the way you sound is like you don't believe me and r calling me a liar or maybe i'm just looking deeper int something that isn't there like i said only 1,000 of these were made in 1988 and its a showcar with under 5,000 miles

So should I walk away now, or should I try and get those pics?

Please get us the pictures. Should be interesting. I like some of the advertised features of this car such as "low as legally allowed" and "old school Dayton wire wheels" as well as the features that are not advertised, such as the special edition peeling body-side molding on the passenger door.

You might also ask for some pictures of the hardtop that supposedly comes with it.

All right, you guys talked me into it. Remember, if we end up making this guy cry, you are all as guilty in this as I am. I'm going to play dumb with him for now. Time to get the ball rolling.....

WOW that's a badass beat-up stock vert with ugly rims that don't fit

I hope we make this guy cry. Send him a link to this thread for best results.

I'll post up the reply I sent once he gets back to me. This could get good. I also noticed the ad says it has 4-Wheel drive & airbags. I thought verts didn't get airbags until 1990, plus I never came across a 4-wheel drive FC. Must be more special features of the Limited Edition

I guess the molding tends to fall off within the first 5000 miles you put on the car. I should've asked for an odometer photo too.

Damn, I got slightly served on that one Now watch. This guy will probably send me pics showing the car has the AWD setup from the old Rod Millen FC rally car bolted to some 6-cyl motor, and suddenly were all gonna be served....

Soft Top, Hard Top, Sunroof, Anti-lock Brakes, Airbag. and 4-Wheel Drive!
Sounds like a sweet S4
What do you think "all button controlled" means?
Carfax says 1.3L R FI and lists 13 records; anybody care to check?

In what market? Not the U.S. I know there was a turbo rotary option on the FB in Japan, but Mazda never put a piston engine in any RX-7 that I've ever heard about.
