Crashed, weird thing is....

I was on my way down too the grocery store when i pulled up and stopped behind an Audi heading down the same path as me, or so i thought.
He was standing there for about 30 seconds before he suddenly flipped it in reverse and gave it the plank.
My reaction was frantically throwing myself on the horn and he noticed me JUST too late and smashed into me, i had my brakes flat because of the sleek downhill we where standing in and he moved me about 4 feet back when he rammed me.

Thats when he got out and looked at his CRUSHED rear bumper and then went stiff looking onto my bumper and i jumped out the car fearing the worst that my bumper was totally wacked, turns out, i only had a crack in the paint....how lucky isnt that, what are these bumpers made by anyway, High repelling technology or something hahaha

Im glad it came out as good as it did for me

This is a very common thing to our cars!

Last summer my co-worker had his car parked in front of my car and was told to go move it. He was meaning to put it in drive but put it in reverse for whatever reason, and went straight into my car. I seen the whole thing and ran out then looked for where it hit, and didn't even find a scratch. My car moved back to with e-brake on.

If an FC's bumper is hit squarely it is pretty strong. I was rear-ended twice in my previous S5 with minimal damage. On the other hand, if you hit the front corners at an angle, get out your wallet. I had a 5 mph collision in a parking lot with a Cadillac in 2000 and my bill from a very reasonable neighborhood body shop was $3000. I needed a front bumper and cover, bumper support, fender, most of the headlight mechanism, some trim and paint. The Caddy was unmarked.

I love these stories. It's happened to most of us. Glad your car is fine.

I was parked with me ebrake on facing a garage door. We had just got done working on my friends s13 when he backed right into my rear bumper and pushed my car into the aluminum garage door.

I was pissed! Get out and look, aluminum garage door has a huge s4 bumper shaped dent, and the s13's AIT racing rear bumper had a huge crack in it. The FC came out with a scuff on the rear bumper that rubbed off. Rx7's FTW.

Glad the damage was minimal. There is a good chance that FTP will now accumulate moisture inside next time it rains; it is also possible that one or both of the FTP studs will be cracked. Hopefully not...

My car was rear ended and it only made my bumper's paint crack a little. The license plate got the worst of it and now it's pushed in near the bottom maybe a quarter inch.

Yeah this sort of thing happened back when i just got my licence and was in my camry. I was trying to back out at school and some fat bitch drove behind the car as i was reversing and it made a freaking loud bang. Got out expecting to see some carnage and there was nothing wrong with either car.
