here it goes...this is the first anyone has seen my car since i pulled in into my shop and did a complete restoration, inside and out. ill be doing a write up soon because i have 200 pics on my camera of the entire build step by step. bodywork took me over 250 hours to complete and interior includes a 10 point roll cage and entire swap from maroon to black....ill post more pics on request. i have tons... enjoy

i dont think that cars been that shiny since it rolled from the factory. nice work.

 

thanks! and believe it or not it looks even nicer in person...the hard work really paid off. over 200 hours getting it ready for paint then almost 10 hours wetsanding and buffing/polishing. PPG deltron DBU black base and PPG DC 4000 clearcoat.

 

looks fantastic, nothing better then a black FC.

I need to get me some glass bumpers and skirts- so much straighter then urethane.

 

haha its funny you say that.. those bumpers where wavy as ****!! i spent probably 40 hours putting putty and blocking them out. because with the car being black it would look like **** if i didnt block them..stick with urethane if you can..lol

 

holy **** man! very beautiful car, i also have a black t2 fully kitted(GP Sports,Bomex,RE Amemiya) and im in the middle of body work right now at about 40+hours so im feelin ya on that, but its all worth it in the end.. do you have any plans to upgrade the wheels and tires to something a little wider or staggered with lip in the rear?

 

yeah id like too get a wheel and tire combo that fills the wheel well gaps more..right now i have 17 inch staggered rims with the rears being about 2 inches wider. 255/40's in rear and 225/45s up front. the car sits 4 inches off the ground now so i cant lower it anymore but id like to fill the gaps more if i can and get some better offset wheels because right now the tires i have are the widest that will fit. Id love to get a set of the BBS rs wheels with a real wide lip on them. its very hard to figure out the proper offsets and tire sizes..

 

at least glass can be fixed, urethane I like to keep original to eliminate dissimilar materials flexing especially when they are black and being baked in the sun with imperfections getting amplified

that is true..putty/duraglass wont hold up on urethane but it works great and lasts forever on fiberglass...

and thanks for the complement 88rxvert i was saying WOW the whole time i was putting it back together, every piece i put on it made it look better and better. when i started on this thing i knew it was going to look good but im even shocked at how awesome it looks..lol

^ Black is creeping up on me as well. It is always classy, and I've always thought white and black were the best colors for the FC.

That and the black s5 (Boostlee's maybe? not sure) on MS01, is stock body but super sexy.

 

thanks for the complements..haha...im not one to brag and i hate people like that but i just couldn't help it, this car belongs in this thread..lol im totally ecstatic about this thing finally being done..i just finished it today, only a few small things to do in the interior..im hoping to have that build thread up soon, ive been working on this car like 4 hours everyday after my regular job for the past 4 months so there was no time for me to make a build thread as it was in progress.

This build really wore me down, its a releaf to have it done even though i did enjoy it the whole way through... my girlfriend calls the car my mistress lol needless to say she is glad im done with it too..haha

yeah really..thats the dumbest rule ever.. if your car looks as good as those that where posted what does it matter if its your car or not... if its that big of a deal ill start a new thread and bury this thread and its stupid ******* rules..

 

at least people are posting thier own cars that they put the time and effort into, I can respect some of those kitted homeland cars but there are some nice stateside cars being put up here, look at that silver car a few posts up- that car looks all business and its still show ready as well.

 

The intranets is serious business.

That is just the rule of this thread. It is about being a little modest and hoping someone else believes the work you put in your car is worth it. Best looking FC is already an opinion we don't need to add to it with owner bias.

Not trying to be a jerk all the cars posted look super awesome and have a **** load of work and love put into them. I just think threads are more fun when people use them as intended.

So sorry if I offended anyone. 13bturbofc post a new thread chronicling your cars journey and all your work, I'd like to see it.
