Before, when I bought it.
Working the paint on the sunroof...It took A LOT more than just Mother's wax. That was the last step haha
Dirty wheels, but a decent pic..
Since that pic was taken, I've done a lot more reconditioning to the interior and exterior.
- Serious wheel polishing
- Removed the rub strips (again) and stretched them back to size and reinstalled them. Those bitches are never coming off again unless I'm painting the car
- New tires
- Spent even more time with the paint and polished it.
- Blackened exterior mirrors, rub strips, wheel wells, etc.
- Re-painted the wiper arms
- Purchased the missing FTP light, and reconditioned both. Still need final touches.
- Fixed the warped lip (Pimpdaddy7835)
- Installed S5 'vert tails
- Installed gloss black Turbo/GXL spoiler
- Various other things I just can't think of...
Oh...and...Pimpdaddy trying to be an Asian car model...it didn't work.
Love at first sight?
...and a somewhat normal picture of Brett
It's been a good car. It sat in that field for what I was told about four months. Honestly though, I believe it was a longer than that. ALL of the coolant had disappeared...the oil was disgusting...there were rats in the hood padding and nests everywhere. The night I first looked at the car I tried opening the door and I had to pull EXTREMELY hard to open it. So hard in fact that the weather stripping on the door stayed with the car mostly. The tires were somewhat dry rotted, there was a thick film on the car and the paint was COOKED!
It has yet to let me down, leave me stranded or cause me some massive headache, and I appreciate that. After owning two other RX-7s that were in near mint (I mean it) condition, going into this, I was miserable with the cosmetic condition of the car. It will need paint some day, because I have to maintain it at least once a month to keep it looking as good as it sits in my driveway. The dash is warped and needs to be replaced. The seats are dirty and the foam padding, of course, is crushed so the seats have no real definition where ridges of padding once existed. It cost me $400, and another $100 bought me a spare motor and tranny with 117k.
I can thank Brett for helping me from time to time when I got stuck with something or the job required two people. He drives the Tornado Silver Metallic '87.5 Luxury that sits in the grass next to my car.
Yup...good car, good car...

Oh god, thanks Collin. Just to let everyone know, that picture was taken almost a year ago But yeah, here's my FC:
before:
when I first got her:
the ugly hood:
old tails and tires:
after:
new FALKEN Ziex 912's and S5 Tails:
The tails again: (loving the wheel gap?)
Tails and S4 Sport Spoiler:
Turbo hood:
Again:
My car's been a good one as well... I've had her since December 2005. I've had to replace the fuel pump, water pump, alternator, starter, battery, differential, front diff. mount, transmission, pulsation damper, battery of course, brakes, and whole clutch kit. The PO was my uncle, and he replaced the driveshaft and exhaust (which is just pipes and mufflers now). It's never left me stranded as well, but lately it's just been a pain. I'm always broke and for the same amount of money I've put into this car I could have a newer, more economical car. But oh well, I wouldn't trade the 7 for anything .

Is it just me or is the toe on the rear passenger wheel fucked up?
