rumor has it Stance coilovers are the best. My cousin has a bunch of friends west who have stance coilovers on their FC and they say that they're the best for drift.

I have Stance GR+ Pro's, with 8kg/6kg spring rates. I'll be testing em out fairly soon on the road course.

....CUSTOM. Get custom-valved Ohlins or Bilstein. Weld on ground control threaded sleeves or whatever for ride height, order some BS springs in whatever rate you like... there you go, $2000 or so. Better than anything you can buy.

I had to adjust them for ride height. I started high, then measured how low I wanted it to sit. It took about 2 adjustments to get right using masking tape as a marker.

It handles great on the street, not too harsh at all. The only driving that's remotely close to what it'll see on the track is when I take it up the mountain to my friend's house. Let's just say that buckets are going into my car in a few weeks cause I can't hold myself in my factory seats.

I used to have Ohlins shocks and RS*R springs on my car, before I went with the Stances. When I get the suspension built to my liking, I will get it corner-balanced.

Nope... horrible. The strut bodies wont be double adjustible.. only spring tension would be adjustible on taht setup.. Adjusting ride hieght via spring perch isnt ideal.

Stance seems to be the more commonly desired coilover.. then id say a Tein set, cant go wrong with tein.

definitely agree with /\ /\ never strut and spring combo. only coilovers. KTS is also a great brand to check out. great product with awesome customer support.

thats the downside

the (big) upside is the shock is valved specifically for your application and you know exactly what the shock is doing. i.e. the shock is actually tuned for you by you. that's excessive for most people though, including myself. yea we're all just a bunch of unknowledgeable ricers.

if you just want to install, drive and hit a few events, have fun, etc., most of the coilover recommendations are already fine. don't need the best. just use what works, doesn't blow in 2 weeks, is well supported and already tested, and is comfortable enough for you.

if your shocks are valved properly in the first place you never have to adjust them.. what a concept.

Kei Office no longer exists...It became Kei Wind or something like that. You can get the new DG5's (Kei Office) coilovers from their only US importer, Drift Speed
( http://www.driftspeed.com/ )
Hope that helps with your search.

Man the DG-5's are pricy. You can specify your own spring rates for the fc3s though which is kinda cool for people like me who like coilovers with lower rates...

I'm very interested about the different coilovers available for our cars. I've read alot of feedback about the most popular brands but there is a couple of good ones that aren't really discussed. Is there any one who has feedback for JIC and Buddy Club coilovers???
